Kids love popsicles any time of year, and moms love knowing exactly what their popsicles are made of. The Orka Ice Pop Maker is perfect for making home made popsicles without an icecream maker. Freeze your favorite juice, or blend your own fruit and yogurt combo and pour-the possibilities are endless. Our stand provides easy trasport and storage in the freezer and prevents tipping. The cup-shaped base catches drips as you eat-no more messes from melting. Our silicone tabs make the pops easy to remove from their molds.-no need to run under hot water, as you do with most popsicle molds. Hand wash, or dishwasher safe. Save money with home-made popsicles and rest assured that your kids will have a healthy and tasty alternative to store-bought treats.

Bad part - but this is true of most molds - you need a flat surface to sit it upright on in your freezer until it is frozen. After that I don't know why you couldn't take the molds off the stand and just put them in a freezer baggie on their side to take up less space, especially if you have more than one set and keep some frozen all the time.
Also kind of wish there were more molds to the set (6-8), but then you'd have to have more flat space in the freezer so...
Plan to use them a lot more in summer, if they fall apart or I change my mind on this review I'll update but so far, really like these!
That being said, I would really love to see this mold also made in a larger size - double the size of this one (to hold about 1/2 cup of filling). I would certainly use both sizes. One for rich, decadent pops, and the other for lighter, refreshing pops. The smaller size is, however, perfect for little kids regardless of filling type.
As far as durability, I have only used the set once. From washing prior to first use and washing again after enjoying the pops, I have had no issues with any of the plastic parts breaking. They seem pretty sturdy for normal use. That being said, there's still some fairly thin plastic parts and I wouldn't be surprised if the sticks or the base break down the line if they're dropped just the right way or abused by my toddler. However, even if that does happen, I would try using regular wood popsicle sticks with the silicone molds, and use a cup to stand them up in for filling and freezing. All in all, it wouldn't be a total loss. The silicone kitchen products I own have withstood a lot of use (and some abuse), so I expect the silicone molds will outlive the plastic parts of this set.
Anyway, regardless of speculative future plastic breakage, this is a great set of molds. I wish I had gotten it sooner since we're already more than half way through summer. I expect to get a lot of use out of these and I'm pretty sure I'm going to purchase another set.
Please, Orka, make a larger size in addition to this one!
I put 2 1/4 cups of frozen strawberries in my vitamix blender with a cup of water, and a couple of ounces of xylitol sweetener (which is healthier than sugar and is natural). I packed the thick slush into a mold as an experiment, but found it worked better when it was liquid, as it was easier to fill the molds, and came out solid after leaving them in the freezer overnight.
The next day I peeled off the molds, to reveal a perfect yummy strawberry ice pop, that wasn't too hard to bite into. They tasted exactly like my favorite ice pops I loved when I was a kid.
I had plenty of strawberry juice (I'd stored in an airtight container) to fill them a few times. I will be happy just using strawberries all the time, I think orange juice would be nice too.
I'm glad I got it when it was $11.73 (the prices keep fluctuating) it's up to over $15 now. I may buy another one when the price goes down again.
