I'm a first time homeschool mom with a kindergartener and first grader and I work part-time. This curriculum has honestly made homeschooling possible and not an overwhelming experience for me. I purchased the EP Language Arts and Math books and EP Learn to Read for my first grader, then 5 months later I ordered the 1st grade Math book for my Kindergartener (he uses Big Steps for Reading and handwriting) . In math, I sometimes modify his workload on a page but he typically does the same lessons as his sister (1st grade) and I allow my daughter to work ahead. They both enjoy doing math and I love that I can take the books anywhere and don't have to rely on internet access. So far, I'm loving with this curriculum!

This is the best curriculum we have used for math. The way it’s laid out is easy to follow, and some of the panic of homeschooling is starting to lift. I used to have this feeling that I was just winging it unsure of whether or not I was teaching my child enough. I’m so glad it’s affordable too, for those of us who really believe we are lead to homeschool, but maybe don’t have a billion dollars to spend.

Excellent practice, but not on grade level

First off, this is a great book for practicing math skills. We are using an online homeschool program but use this book as an extra practice for math and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed it as did I.
Problem. I do not believe this book is up to level with public school first grade standards. My 1st grader flew through it and has completed it after 11 weeks of school because she enjoyed doing multiple pages a day. She has since started the workbook 2 which she will easily complete before the end of the year and then I will be confident that she is on track with math, should she return to public school next year.
Overall, I highly recommend this book for math practice.

Perfect for use along with the Easy Peasy homeschool curriculum! The only thing I will say is that there are one or two pages with money maths which uses dollars instead of British pounds. We are British so just skip those pages. My son really enjoys these workbooks and it is so great not having to print all of the worksheets off!
