This straightforward math curriculum teaches skills and strategies without overwhelming the child. It's beautiful, well put together workbook. Accompanying parent guide is a great resource and has extra strategies if your child is having trouble with a concept. We just started homeschooling a 6th grader and found this was a good place to start to catch up on some fundamentals. We're just picking and choosing lessons before we move onto Step 2.

I absolutely hate this book. I bought it and the parent guide and the parent guide is absolutely useless and doesn’t explain anything at all. It’s a waste of money and the actual workbook is so advanced and so ridiculous in it’s concepts that as an adult, I have no idea what it’s talking about. I did really well in school, precalculus math and the whole nine yards but I could not hate this book any more if I tried.
