The Duel Disk Launcher features some pretty nifty functions like a Life Point counter, card holder, field card slot, attack positions, defend positions, card graveyard, and even spots for your Magic/Trap cards. It even lights up when in use (batteries included)! Although the Launcher is pretty well put together, it is recommended for ages 8 and up. It may be a bit heavy for younger children. Also some of the attached parts may come off if treated roughly. All in all this is an excellent addition to your Yu-Gi-Oh! collection. For kids who are strong enough to use the Dueller continuously for an hour or so, the length of a duel, the product will be good. For my seven-year-old nephew, I saw him resting the plastic Dueller on his leg or his other arm a lot. The idea of the product is great, the reality is cumbersome and heavy for smaller kids.
The product was extremely fun. You can put on the duel disk using the strap to adjust the size to fit your arm. The duel disk has a light-up life point counter and Oricaclos symbol. The cards fit nicely into the card zones, you can have around 60 cards in the deck zone, and about 20 in the graveyard. You can strap on the duel disk and duel like your favorite Yu-gi-oh! heroes or villains!
Definitely a better design than the original monstrosity, that thing was absolutely massive. Still, the bigger issues (in my opinion) still persist with this device.
-Graveyard is disproportionately sized from the deck -No support for any card sleeves -Cards get damaged just from using this product as advertised -Can't adjust deck size
The LEDs are cool, but this thing is really targeted towards the 8 year old with low level cards who probably doesn't even know the proper rules of the game. If they instead marketed this product towards the people who played this game at the tournament level they would have had a lot more sales on it, and a lot more people using them today. Plus it would really help tourney organizers with not having to set up tables and such, but I digress.
had one if these as a kid (disk was 20/30 bucks at the time) broke really easy, batteries died fast, and it was somewhat overrated. so for someone to try and sell it for over a hundred bucks, I laugh and say buy a mat for the same price it's worth and get allot more time out of it
My six year old and eight year old love this toy. They are both very much into Yu-Gi-Ho. THis Duel disk is far better than the first one, this one folds up and you can store it in a smaller space. I would highly reccommend this toy for any Yu-Gi-HO fanatic.
It is really cool but like all things it has its faults. I would not recommend it to anyone under the age of 10 because I am eleven and it is quite hard to keep on because it is so heavy, plus it hurts your arm after a while. But I enjoy playing with it (resting my arm on something) all the same.
