The book is jam-packed with strategies for moms or really anyone trying figure out what your truly want! One that stood out for me was to ask the negative things that pop up in your life what they are trying to teach you. Our instinct is to push them away but we all know that they keep coming back. I can’t wait to welcome the next one that comes up!
This quote by Caroline says it all “Once your are grounded in who you truly are and what you truly want, you will always make the right choice.” I made the right choice buying and reading this book.
I appreciate that Greene is using the book to help build her client base (she describes herself as a mommy coach), but the book largely addresses the concerns of educated middle and upper-class mothers in two-parent families. I understand that that's probably the demographic of her clients. I appreciate that this is Greene's own position. But it does feel like the examples and solutions draw on the lived experiences of a very narrow group of women, where it would have been great to see how some of the concepts in the book could be applied to mothers living in different situations. There is a lot that is good here and Greene strives to be inclusive in terms of mothers' choices. It would be great if her next book could also be inclusive of their different situations.
