“How young you look.”
“Were you thinking that yesterday while I was between your legs, eating your p**** after I’d f***** you hard against the wall?”
“I wasn’t thinking.”
“Good. That’s how we’ll keep it, then.”
A love story penned by Elle Aycart never disappoints, something about her trademark style of romance making me ache in anticipation every single time I am about to start reading one of her books because there’s not a doubt in my mind that she’d overload my senses and leave me squiggling in my seat from the sheer sexiness of her words. I have been waiting for a long time to read Max’s story and all good things definitely come to those who wait because this book was everything I hoped it’d be…and so much more. The perfect fusion of sweet and racy, with well-timed injections of humour and suspense, I loved every word in it. And I am now desperately besotted with another Bowen brother, another incorrigible dirty-mouthed alpha male—this one just happens to look like a mouth-watering Viking.
“I've been in the dating arena long enough to know that when your date starts talking about themselves in the third person, it’s time to hide.”
Annie Griffin is a single woman in her mid-thirties who dreams of settling down and marrying the man of her dreams, even though her dating history has amounted to one disappointment after another. But she remains an optimist, an ‘active dater’ who is willing to persevere in her search for the love of her life, even if to find him she’d have to kiss many a frog. Annie’s life comes to a standstill when she finds herself pregnant, compliments of an impetuous one night stand...with an escort.

Annie Griffin is 35, she's a forensic accountant and also has a bakery on the side. A little while after a wild night of passion with a male escort she finds herself pregnant and homeless due to some problems in the building she lives in. Annie, needs a place to stay while her apartment is being repaired and Max needs help with the pets, easy peasy. He'll be away for a long time and she'll have the house all to herself. But things change when Max comes back home before he was schedule to, making them roommates and helping these unlikely pair to get to know each other better.
He calls her Pregnant Lady and she calls him Boob Enhancer, their banter and their friendship starts escalating and soon they start heating up the sheets. What I loved about their relationship is that it didn't happen overnight, things were perfectly built up between them. Their chemistry is off the charts schmokin' hot, but while Max is a go getter type of guy, Annie has reservations about the relationship developing between them, not only is she older than him and is pregnant with someone else's baby, but she knows for a fact that Max is a love 'em and leave 'em type of guy and doesn't want to end up heartbroken. Will Max be able to prove to Annie that there's more to him than the daredevil she's used to seeing? Will Annie be able to trust Max with not only her heart but her baby?
Elle Aycart can really write an abso-freaking-lutely fantastic story, she's proven herself before and continues to do so with To The Max.Read more ›

When Annie Griffin finds herself in probably the worst spot in her life, she isn't sure what she is going to do. Finding out your a pregnant, is one thing, finding out your baby daddy is the gigolo that you spent time with at an auction a few months ago, really sets you on edge. Now basically homeless, her current living arrangements are being remodeled and Annie does not want to commute daily to the city, where she works as a forensic accountant. It is sleep on a friends sofa, move into a room at the local country club or take hotshot, adrenaline junky Max Bowen up on his proposition. Max is the youngest of the hot, sexy, alpha Bowen boys. He getting ready to head off to work on yet another movie. What he doesn't have is a house sitter for his girls. Annie really does not want to stay at his place, but she has run out of options. Homeless and pregnant is not a fun place to be.
When Max returns from his movie shoot early, all hell seems to break loose. Annie is finding it harder and harder to ward off his advances. She has trouble dealing with their age difference and he is the towns hottest bachelor. He is the last thing she needs.
Max and Annie are so much fun. They get along really well and their banter is awesome. They are both head strong and opinionated and they tend to clash. But when the fire between them gets stoked, there seems to be no turning back. Annie doesn't want to fall for the hot, sexy bachelor. Plus he is to set in his playboy ways to ever settle down. What ensues is Max growing up, and a lot faster than most would have every thought and he won't stop until e makes Annie his!
I love Elle Aycarts books. She never disappoints.Read more ›

Nice sweet romance. I am not a big fan of this author's books, I think her romances seem to lack a deeper connection. This was a nice read though,Published 13 months ago by starsaga
