is accurate - i compared it to a direct pressure. mounted sender atop billet fuel filter bowl cap

fuse extensions made installation easier.

Installed on a 2003 FL70 that has a HPOP CAT 3126E.
The Fuel Pressure lets me know when I have an issue before engine shuts down. Low Fuel Pressure on an HPOP is an indication of a plugged fuel filter or a small suction line leak. I installed in on the passenger side of the dash on top so as to not be too intrusive. Warm at idle I have 66. Cruising 75 pulling a hill 82. All is well. The initial reason was I had an issue with Diesel Algae. Now I can see if Fuel Pressure drops before the Oil Pressure does. It matters to know this on an HEUI system.

awesome little gauge, and it works perfect... I got it for my E350 6.0L powerstroke van, installing the transducer (sensor) was a royall pain in the A ss... Just so you know in case you are planning to get this for a van like me, this is what I encounter: Had to disassemble the filter and intake pipe assy. had to disassemble the intercooler pipe going to the intake manifold elbow, and had to hold the engine harness with a barr all the time, just to access the auxiliary port on the side of the 2ndary fuel filter housing , and you are going to need this if you have a ford diesel truck or van (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DKM4PU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00) In a van, I don't recommend plugging the sensor straight into the fuel bowl cuz there won't clear with the intake temp sensor #2 that is right on front and IN the intake manifold, what I did, I went to napa and got made a hydraulic hose with the fittings that matched the threat of the sensor and the adapter (a 2f long) put the adapter in one end and the sensor at the other end... and even then, it was very... very... VERY... hard and tight to threat that adapter with hose to the side of the fuel bowl (now I know better, if I ever do this again in a van, I am going the "L" fitting and hose attached to the top of the fuel filter cap... this version works exactly the same, and it will save you hell on a van) ... you also are going to need at least 3 of this for a proper and save way to connect to power, the ground can go straight to any metal of the vehicle (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K17A2E6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00) ... Also, get some YELLOW (yellow = fuel grade) teflon tape for the threats (don't use the white one on any fuel system) the other end of the hose with the sensor I re-routed it near where the power steering reservoir is, for my convenience and easy access, it is your choice where you put yours. Other than that, the gauge has a very good lighting on daylight and the dimming at night is good too, and the magnified glas is a plus in my opinion.

Very bright and distracting at night!!

The gauges seem accurate and work well but they are super bright!!! I have them on the lowest setting (d1) and I still have trouble seeing anything out of the driver side of the windshield (mounted on the pillar of my '89 Cherokee). They create a huge blind spot when driving at night. I called MaxTow to see if there are any other options or ways to dim them further but they did not have any options. I am considering returning them or maybe wiring a switch to only turn them on when four-wheeling.

Love the easy install. Instructions are a little vague as to mounting the gauge in the cab. I think it was meant to be a dedicated mount in the tow ready pillar gauge set. Oh well, for now some 3M double sided tape and on the dash she sits. I am very happy with the lighting options and to have something to keep an eye on psi. Way more affordable than changing a bank of injectors because of a pickup pump intermittently failing at the pigtail. If I had the gauge I would have known right away.

great product but within 2 months needle gauge started giving incorrect readings for example one day on start up needle will read 100psi and following day it will read 20psi thankfully the gauge has a digital fuel pressure reading that has been accurate without any issues verified with professional fuel pressure tool every time I do maintenance in fear of accuracy failure since needle readout is defective but maybe I just got a bad one if the needle didn't fail I would have gave 5-stars for review...
