Our third toaster in a few years. Decided to go with the long slot version so we can fit the longer sliced sourdough breads in the slots. I've determined that all relatively inexpensive countertop toasters (maybe all toasters regardless of cost) are not going to be 100% fabulous, but this one does an admiral job at its primary function which is to toast bread. Perhaps a little uneven toasting, some parts of the bread toasted more than other parts, but not a huge difference.
Just to reiterate what is already know, the moisture content of bread affects the amount of time needed to toast that bread. So a toaster setting that works well for plain white Wonder bread, probably will not work well for your homemade higher moisture content bread. We've found a higher setting, above 4, works for homemade breads.
This toaster does not a Bagel setting which would be nice if it did.

This long-slot toaster has a lot of space and it toasts pretty evenly. The 6-step temp control allows for exact regulation once you have figured out by trial and error the result of each step. The only drawback is that the knob for the temp control is hard to read because there's only a little dimple but not any visible pointer. That's a design flaw from form-over-function thinking. So, I went ahead and used some correction fluid to make the dimple white. Now I can actually see what I'm doing...

I like the fact that you can toast, Heat, grill, defrost at the same time. It's a multi-tasking toaster.
Easy to clean.
The only thing that disturbed me when I unpacked the product is its size, it's bigger than expected, but it's fine since it takes few minutes to do a lot of work.

The toaster is labeled 500 watts. I seldom toast more than one slice at a time so all the heat and energy is used for my one slice. This is probably why it is unexpectedly fast! Oh, and it toasts evenly. I have never owned anything made by this manufacturer before but I will be looking at what else they have available.

I have stainless steel appliances and this looks really good in my kitchen. Its probably best for those who only make a few pieces of toast at a time. I like it because it has the really long slots for larger pieces of bread. I like to buy fresh sourdough and it fits nicely in it. It cooks toast lighter than I would have expected but you have the option to turn it quite a bit up. It doesn't cook super evenly. I'm really not picky about that, but I know some are.

You can put large slides of bread. My white mountain bread was starting to be old. I sliced it and toasted it. It was delicious. The high levels burn things. I use 1 and 2. What I like the best is the warmer bars on top. After toasting the bread, I put it on those, and warm it up slowly, until the bread gets really crunchy. It is like those toast packages you can buy that are nice and crunchy.
I have had it only for a couple of days. I will have more to add in a while. The one warning. After removing it from the box and starting to operate, it made a slight burning plastic smell. I set it to all the possible heat levels, one by one, without toast. after about 5 times, it stopped making the smell.
So far, I recommend it. It is exactly what I wanted, a toaster for all sizes of toast.

Its a 4 slice toaster, temp control works well pops up well, but has a major issue with bread crumbs appearing under it. For the price it is ok, but if you dont like to see bread crumbs under your toaster get one with a larger bread tray.
As is the bread tray for some crazy reason only covers 50% of the bottom area and is very shallow so hard to remove without dropping crumbs.
Probably this is the number 1 reason you see many amazon returned units at bigger discount.

Toast level setting knob hard to read

The toaster toasts evenly and consistently. The only problem is that the toast level setting knob is black on black, so it's hard to read and line up with the setting numbers on the face of the toaster. The knob does have a small raised arrow on its face, but the arrow is hard to feel and almost impossible to see under normal countertop illumination. I marked the arrow, and a corresponding line on the side of the knob, with a silver Sharpie. This marking solved the problem. RECOMMENDATION TO MANUFACTURER: Mark knob in a similar manner.
