Maxie’s quiet, predictable routine is shattered when she steps outside her flower shop and almost runs into two women. It’s not the near collision that’s startling. It’s the strangers’ faces. It’s like looking in a mirror times two, and it sends her into a dead faint.
Sheriff Zac Ford sees three identical copies of the woman who’s caused him more sleepless nights than he can count, and it stops him in his tracks. Maxie’s buckling knees snap him out of his trance, and he catches her before she hits the cement.
Two sisters she never knew she had? Maxie can’t deal with this turmoil, not on her own. She needs a shield, a rock. For the first time in her life, she takes a wild leap of faith.
When Maxie calls him her boyfriend, Zac has no trouble playing along. It’ll give him time to figure out what these “sisters” want. Soon, though, for-show kisses get hotter and playacting touches grow bold. And Maxie must choose to stay in her safe little world, or grab life by the horns.

About the author

When taking the Myers-Briggs personality test in high school, Kimberly was rated as an INFJ (Introverted-Intuitive-Feeling-Judging). This result sent her into a panic, because there were no career paths recommended for the type. Fortunately, it turned out to be well-suited to a writing career. Since receiving that dismal outlook, Kimberly has become an award-winning author of romance and erotica. She has written for seven publishing houses, both domestic and international, and has recently focused her efforts on the exciting world of self-publishing. When not writing, she enjoys movies, sports, traveling, music, and sunshine.

On this day, he parks and goes in the coffee shop. She is determine to speak to him. She grabs her watering can and goes out front to water the plants and try to get up the courage to just smile and say Hi. Everything is going along well until he comes out, coffee in hand, and starts to walk right up to her. Heart racing she opens her mouth to speak to him and then realizes that his smile is for someone behind her. She turns and looks over her shoulder and sees two women approaching that look exactly like her. How can it be? They are exact in looks but the carry themselves differently. It is too much, she loses her breath, her vision turns black and she goes down.
Fortunately the Sheriff is close enough that he catches her before she hits the pavement. He scoops her up and takes her inside, finds a chair and sits with her in his lap. Nothing could be more perfect for him. He has been ordering coffee/swill for the past two weeks trying to get her attention. He knows she is shy and he has to move slowly to keep from scaring her off. She finally comes to and is staring into the eyes of the two women. They introduce themselves. Roxie, Lexie and she is Maxie. What is going on? She is in a panic as they explain they are her sisters. They want to talk and explain why they are in town. She discovers she is not only sitting on the Sheriff's lap but also holding on to his hand like a lifeline.
The two look a likes want to talk. She is in a panic about what to do. So she grabs for straws, calls the Sheriff by a nickname, Honey, and asks him what he thinks. He goes along with her and suggests a restaurant and a time to meet for dinner. They all agree. So this is the beginning of their love affair.
She is so shocked because her parents only had one child, her. There were no sisters. She is not sure what the other two are up to but she needs to find out the truth of what is going on. The other two come with a lot of verified information. They only want to find the rest of their family. Could she have been adopted? She has no idea and no one every mentioned the possibility.
This is a series about 3 sisters. Each one gets her own story with the last book answering all questions. This book has a happy ever after for Maxie and Zac but there are a few questions that are not answered in this story. It is not a cliffhanger. It does answer a lot of questions from Maxie's point of view. However, in Book 3 another sister gets a book and then everything will be answered. I'm assuming here but it does seem logical. All 3 books are available so no waiting for the next one. I definitely recommend this book. It is a fun, entertaining read. Roxie and Lexie are both fun characters as are the men that love them.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 5/9/2020
Zac is suffering the same attraction but is also running out of ideas on how to woo this shy gal. He's also been suffering by every day drinking a horrible cup of coffee. Why? Because the shop is right by Maxie's store and he can't get her out of his mind. When she passes out at the sight of two identical sisters (identical to her) it opens up a door of opportunity for Zac.
There's a fair amount of humor in the story which I enjoyed. There are also some mysteries that has to do with the 3 women. And there are some hot scenes between Zac and Maxie.
Overall, I stay involved throughout the story and liked the ending, which also left room for more story about the girls birth family. The next story has to do with Roxie and her search. I'd like to read this book too because Roxie is one interesting character all on her own.
Just a quick FYI-If you don't like stories with explicit sex, you might want to pass on this series. But this story is not just all about sex, far from it in fact. There are moments that will have you ROTFL, but there are also so many really heart felt moments, too. All around, Great story!
Her parents have passed, her grandmother has passed and timid Maxie is watching the new sheriff from behind her plants in her florist shop.
Unbeknownst to her the sheriff is just as interested in catching a glimpse of Maxie. He parks his cruiser in front of her shop every morning to visit the coffee shop next door.
Maxie finally gets the nerve to step outside and watch for the sexy sheriff and her world as she know it changes forever at that time. Sisters she never knew she had arrive at the same time the sheriff steps up to the plate.
What happens next is funny and unexpected and whole lot of fun!
Maxie finds more love from more people than she ever imagined. She also works through the struggles she has with her timidness (that at times was a bit much).
There is love, lust, a little suspense, acceptance, some fear and a little angst.
There are laughable moments and comic situations between the sisters, the townspeople, and the girls’ boyfriends. The story takes place over just a few days, so it’s rather a quick romance, especially with a sheriff who seizes an opportunity when he sees one. There are some grammatical errors, but they are not too distracting. Overall, reading this book is a great way to spend an evening!
