I don't recommend using the (very) inexpensive charger listed on Amazon; they have exceptionally cheap internals, and I have had two literally burn out on me. I recommend spending a little more on the Pearstone chargers sold elsewhere, knowing that they won't catch on fire when charging overnight. These batteries have HUGE capacity, so it will take more than several hours to get a full charge.
I have seen one instance where a Sony FS700 had completely died when it reported the battery at 50%; that camera is now using official Infolithium batteries. While I don't know if it was a glitch or a faulty device, the batteries in question have been switched to peripheral devices and have been running strong since. I can't really recommend them for intelligent, sensitive devices, but they are phenomenal for everything else.
So far, they have always worked with whatever charger I have used, they work in my Neweer 160 LED camera mounted light as well as both of my Sony HVR-HD1000u cameras. The battery life is also fantastic. I regularly shoot 6-8 hour weddings with these batteries, and one will pretty much always do the trick, lasting for the entire event... and I never turn off my cameras, just in case something unexpected happens that I need to capture.
Secondly, the batteries are durable. Three years ago, an assistant dropped on onto a cement floor, and the battery actually came apart, but all of the wiring inside was still intact. Some Gaffer's Tape and a few seconds of time was all it took to get it back together and working once more. Again, this happened three years ago, and I still confidently use this taped-together battery today.
Lastly, the price? Not bad! You can buy 4 of these for the cost of 1 of the Sony brand long-lasting batteries, which in my experience was unable to hold it's charge for more than about 1 year of regular use. This battery is my go-to replacement for Sony batteries now, and should be yours as well.
They are twice the weight of the other replacement brands. They last twice as long as the other replacement batteries.
The test is to hold the Maximal Power F970 battery with the other brands and you will see how much heavier the Maximal Power battery is. This is why they last twice as long. They are well engineered for quality and not cheap prices - though they are one fourth the cost of the original SONY Batteries.
