On to the review:
The quality of the stitching isn't exactly first rate. There are plenty of irregularities throughout, albeit tiny ones that are hard to notice and don't seem to affect the structural integrity of the product. But- for 25 bucks (keep in mind its made at low cost in Taiwan) I expect the overall quality of the item to be commensurate with its relatively high price tag. That being said, I'm not sure if there are any cheaper products from 5.11, Condor, etc that meet or exceed this product's capabilities and overall build quality.
The mesh pocket on the front is a tad on the tight side. You may want to stick a laminated card, bandana, folded up map, etc in there. I personally leave it empty because my hands are too large to retrieve anything that I've managed to wedge in there. Leave a corner of your item sticking out for easy extraction if you do elect to use this pocket.
The horizontal elastic straps on the right side compartment make good use of space, and are perfect for bulky items like full-size multitools. This feature seems to be unique to this product, so kudos to Maxpedition for being innovative.
It will take you a few tries to dial in your set up, just because of how numerous and versatile your configuration choices are. I recommend starting out with the bare minimum amount of stuff you "need" for EDC, and then adding other stuff within reason. At first, I crammed a whole lot of junk in here that I would never use (like a pocket radio) just to see what the limit was, and when I zipped it up, the stitching showed signs of stress, that I'm not sure would hold up for a long period. However, with all of the set ups I have pictured above, there is no problem at all zipping up, and there is room between the two halves to put a folded hand towel or something similar in there to prevent the objects on either side from rubbing on each other and getting scratched up.
The bottom line:
If you're into the whole "EDC thing", and I mean into it, then buy this immediately.
Minus 1 star for being being priced a little higher than I think it should be considering where its manufactured. Would give 7 stars if it was made in USA.
organize smaller items in my daypack for hikes (I keep my daypack in my car because it also has a first aid kit and other survival gear in it). The lay out and secure places to store things is very well thought out.
I think the usefulness of this Organizer boils down to understanding what function it was designed for and being selective in what you put in it. For me, a smaller organizer would leave me feeling like I left something I need out, and a larger one would probably mean I would fill it with items I don't really need - unnecessary weight.
Again, really understand what you want to use this for as it is an excellent product!!
It's strong and very durable. If it wasn't a complete waste of money, I'd probably buy three of four of these.

I'd rate the Organizer 5/5. I've had it 1 month. I paid $18.82. The quality is, as usual, outstanding.Read more
