+ This think looks and feels indestructible. The build quality is great.
+It is really flexible and can be mounted vertically and horizontally on a belt or maybe even MOLLE webbing.
+It stretches so the tool inside does not rattle around any. That would be annoying wouldn't it?
+It wasn't much bigger than the carrier that came with my Charge.
+Velcro strip is thick and won't come undone by accident under most circumstances.
-That ripping velcro noise every time you go to get your tool. But honestly there was no betier option with this universal design.
-Doesn't do laundry
For what I paid this was great. I honestly wear this little thing every day and couldn't be happier. It is a great replacement for my old leather one.
The biggest fault is that when positioned vertically on a belt, the belt loop is closer to the center of the sheath then the top. This causes the Maxpedition to "ride high" - that is, the top of the sheath is just over two inches above the top of my belt and digs into my hip when walking or sitting. In contrast, the nylon sheath that came with my multitool has the belt loop at the top of the sheath, and so there is nothing above the belt to dig into the hip.
If positioned horizontally, the Maxpedition fits great and there is no issue with comfort. However, it is so large that it does get in the way of accessing my front pocket. Certainly this is something that could be worked around.
Carrying the Charge TTI with one bit kit is a tight squeeze, and when I put the multitool back in, I have to wiggle it (i.e. I can't just drop it in like I would want to). Adding the second bit kit tray makes this even harder. It's surprising because this sheath is so much bigger than the stock Leatherman sheath, but much of that extra size is the nylon.
On the plus side, the velcro on the front face is far better than that on the stock sheath. Fitting a flashlight on the side compression straps works well - it feels secure and is easier to take out than on the Leatherman sheath. I can fit either an AA or AAA single cell flashlight, in contrast to the stock sheath.

Very sturdily made. Tight elastic, 2 different ways to attach to a belt that seem like they would hold very well.Published 13 days ago by Okie Actor
Outstanding sheath for my Leatherman OHT. Feels indestructible. I got it to replace the original sheath my OHT came with, which does not ride horizontally. Read morePublished 14 days ago by Peeps

This thing sure is well made, but it's gigantic. With straps every which-way and velcro all over, it ends up being pretty large to wear with regular pants or jeans. Read morePublished 1 month ago by J. Loveman
