Product Description

Maxtek four DVD case is the size of a standard width single case, 25 pcs pack. Accommodates up to 4 discs. Has a clear outer plastic "full wrap" to hold artwork. Utilizes a push hub to hold discs. Case color is black. Also holds standard size CD media as well. Closed outside dimensions: 14 x 135 x 190 (mm). This DVD Box opens/closes like a book. Two disc fit into each side of the box. Another two discs fit into either side of the hinged middle tray.

These cases are great. They're sturdy, molded cleanly, hold disks perfectly, and are pretty affordable. I've never had one rip when inserting the cover. They've survived being dropped on the hard floor from a table without breaking, but occasionally will have cracks in the corners if the package was dropped during shipment. That's not the manufacturer's fault, though. These are my go-to when I need to condense my movie collection. Highly recommended!

Storage Is So Important to Us

We're closing in on 3,000 DVD movies now, some are more than 2 disks and several are more than 4 per case. Also, we have "sets" we've collected over the years as they came out, Jumanji, Night at the Museum, etc and wanted to keep all of them together. These cases make it possible to group movie families together and save an incredible amount of space. Our bookcase now has space for more movies. There are some storage "books" below, each holding about 300 movies a piece (4 books). We've converted all the cases to slimline and now instead of 3 bookcases, we're down to 1 with room to spare. We don't spend a lot of money going out, instead we treat ourselves to movie night and after a while, the old movies are like watching new movies all over again. These cases make it so much easier to be organized and certainly more compact. I'm grateful they're available. Because of their sturdiness, I'm not afraid they'll pop open and DVD's will get scratched. They're secure and steady and I know I'll be purchasing more.

These DVD cases are of decent quality, as good or better than some of the stuff the local library system uses.
The only thing that kept me from giving it a 5 star rating is that the clear outer sleeve is of a very soft material.
I thought I was using adequate caution when opening the packaging, but with a - if not dull - not very sharp pocketknife I managed to nick the clear outer sleeves on 10 of the cases. This creased them and the damage seems to be permanent. I hesitate to think what could have happened if I had used a sharper instrument to open the case. A sheet of thin cardboard inside - on the top AND bottom of the packaging - would be all that is needed to prevent this kind of unintended damage.
In the meantime I strongly suggest that, whatever tool is used to open the packaging for this product, HAVE THE BLADE TURNED UP AND AWAY FROM THE PRODUCT INSIDE.

I'll admit that I purchased these w/o reading any reviews on them. They were a bit of an impulse buy driven by my frustration after getting so many sold by / ships from Amazon Blu Rays and 4K UHD discs showing up in cases that have been wrecked in one way or another. So I figured, instead of making a half hour trip to the local Khols to return them every time it happens, from now on I'd just use a new case. These work great for that purpose, the only problem is they are quite tall. A standard case that I'm used to getting is about 66% of the height of these things. Don't get me wrong they are super nice cases, they are just MUCH taller than I expected.
