1. Turn on your Switch,PS3, NEOGEO mini, or PS Classic game console.

2. Connect the game console to a TV. Just turn on your PC if you use the adapter on your PC system. 3. Connect the adapter into any spare USB port on your game console.

4. To switch the modes, press and hold the button on the side of the adapter for 3-5 seconds.The LED indicator blinks slowly.

5. Turn on the Bluetooth controller.

6. To sync the Bluetooth controller and the adapter, press the Button on the side of the adapter, and then press the SYNC button on your controller. The LED indicator blinks quickly.

7. The Bluetooth has been paired successfully if the LED indicator lights up.

This is amazing! Now my roommates can use their Xbox One or PS4 Controller on my Nintendo Switch. One at a time though which means I might need to buy another adapter to have them both connect their controllers at the same time. When you first get it, you NEED TO UPDATE IT. It makes it run wonderfully after the update. The update can be found on the mayflash website. I haven't had any issues with the adapter yet but if any come up, I'll update this review. Also, for everyone that has a hard time dealing with the A-B and X-Y swaps on Nintendo, you can just hold down start/options/menu/plus and it'll switch them around on your Xbox or PS4 controller. That way, A on the Xbox controller will act as A and B as B and so forth. For PS4 that means X will be your confirm and O your cancel and so forth. Really convenient. Playing Minecraft on the switch feels right now with the Xbox Controller now.

This device also works great for android devices with a otg cable (Axon 7 Nougat) if you put it on Switch mode. So far this is the only way I have been able to make my DS4 work wirelessly on my phone without root.

UPDATE : It also works on the PS3. With this adapter you can connect the switch controller or DS4 (home button does work). This adapter is way better than I thought.

Both this and the 8bitdo device are excellent at linking your modern controllers to your Switch. Something extra that this does (which the 8bitdo doesn't) is that it has a USB port which you can use to connect an arcade stick for fighting games. This device also allows you to swap the X and Y buttons as well as the A and B buttons on a controller to get rid of the "Nintendo" layout. If neither of these issues are important to you, the only choice between the two devices is how they look. This is a grey slab, while the 8bitdo device is (at the time of this writing) a stack of Mario bricks.

So far, I'm liking this thing. The instructions don't seem to say this, but to get it to work in switch pro mode, you have to enable switch pro controllers in the system settings on the switch. Once that's done, it works as advertised. One thing that it doesn't do that I wish that it did was wake the system from sleep. It's fairly inconvenient having to use the power button on the console to wake the system (or the joy-cons, but then they stay on until you put the system to sleep again) - maybe that is something that can be added at a later time.

The button that switches modes on the device is absurd. It's slightly recessed and super tiny. Not sure what they were thinking with that one. Otherwise a solid product that mostly saves me from buying an overpriced pro controller.

UPDATE: I contacted Mayflash's Customer Service about this issue and I was able to download the latest firmware for the device and it works perfectly now. I now give this product 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone who isn't looking to shell out $70 for the Switch Pro controller.

I bought this specifically to use my Wii U Pro controller for Zelda: BOTW and while it works, to a degree, Link is continuously walking forward, even when not touching the left analog stick. This makes the game unplayable using this controller. I haven't tried my Dualshock 4 yet to see if the same problem exists with that controller but I bought this for the Wii U Pro Controller because it has the same button layout as the Switch Joy cons. I dont know if a patch can fix this problem but as of right now I am extremely disappointed with this product.

UPDATE 22MAR2018: Defective adapter was replaced. The adapter works perfect with my DS4 now, again you can't turn the system on with it but I believe that's likely a Switch issue now the adapter's.

Everything would work great except that after the system powers itself off after being put to sleep, when I power the system back on I have to remove the Magic-NS adapter, hold down the switch modes button on the adapter, and then reinsert it before it will begin working again. Removing and reinserting it does not seem to work.

I have followed the connection steps both in the quick guide and the extra bits about turning on pro wired communication from their site. I have v1.19 firmware on my device, the latest as of this review. I'm using a Dualshock 4 controller and have no other controllers to further troubleshoot with. This issue happens with all 3 USB ports: 2x side ports 1x back port (the one I'd prefer to use as a giant white dongle sticking out of the side of my switch doesn't look great) I'm unsure at this point if this is a specific issue with my adapter or all of them. I'm inclined to think it is only mine as I can't imagine anyone here NOT mentioning the annoyance of having to hunch down, pull the adapter out of the console, hold that awfully tiny button down, and then reinsert it every single time.

I've read the reviews stating that you cannot power the system on from your controller and I imagine that's more of a hardware restriction from the switch(limiting power to USB ports when the system is off). This is NOT that, I would be OK with that being the only issue. I'll happily change my rating to 5 stars if a solution to this is posted, there is no input lag, everything works great. Every button is mapped, motion controls are slightly different vs using a joycon but still great. This one issue is honestly the most frustrating thing though.

Wichtig: im Modus "Rot" (am USB) kann nicht das volle Potential des PS4 Controllers ausgeschöpft werden, daher wäre der Modus "Violett" + Treiber aktualisieren für diesen Fall das richtige (mit Rumble und Gyro-Sensor):
1.) USB (Mayflash) im PC anstecken und den aktuellsten Treiber runterladen auf der offiziellen Mayflash-Webseite -> Installieren
2.) Auf der Nintendo Switch in die Einstellungen > Controllers and Sensors > Pro Controller Wired Communication – "ON" auswählen
3.) USB-Stick (Mayflash) in einen freien Steckplatz der Nintendo Switch anstecken und mit einem passenden Kabel den PS4-Controller an diesem direkt anschließen
4.) PS4-Controller einschalten und den kleinen Knopf am USB abwechselnd rund 3 Sek. lang halten, bis die Farbe "Violett" blinkt (nicht am Controller)
5.) Am Controller die zwei Tasten R1 und R3 halten, bis der Controller vibriert (ab diesem Moment ist rumble an; die Stärke kann man anpassen, indem man zu den beiden Knöpfen noch das Steuerkreuz nach oben bzw. nach unten drückt; 7 Stufen existieren)

*zusätzlich kann man die Knöpfe A-B und X-Y miteinander vertauschen, indem man START + X (B) hält. Ich habe es leider noch nicht geschafft, nur A mit B zu tauschen, X und Y jedoch unverändert zu lassen. Ich weiß nicht, ob das überhaupt möglich ist
*ob die Farbe der LED vom PS4-Controller anpassbar ist, ist mir ebenfalls nicht bekannt
*Für den Fall, dass zwei Spieler mit zwei Controllern (nicht Nintendo Switch-Controller) an einer Nintendo Switch spielen möchten, sind zwei USB-Sticks (Mayflash) erforderlich. Zwei solche USB-Sticks lassen sich an die beiden Steckplätze außen an der Nintendo Switch gleichzeitig nebeneinander einstecken, jedoch würde ich das nicht empfehlen, da diese dann etwas gekrümmt drinnen stecken. Daher könnten wahrscheinlich die Steckplätze auf Dauer beschädigt werden. Daher entweder einen USB-Verteiler dazustecken oder 1x einen Steckplatz außen an der Nintendo Switch und den Steckplatz innen im Gehäuse der Nintendo Switch nutzen.
*im normalen Modus "ROT" hat sich mein Controller ca. 1 x die Stunde abgedreht. Im Modus "Violett" war das bisher noch nicht der Fall
* ein gewisser Input-Lag ist bei dieser Spielweise vorhanden, jedoch nur minimal. Daher wird es bei den meisten Spielen (minimale Verzögerung) nicht auffallen, jedoch bei Spielen wie Super Smash Bros Ultimate dürfte es merkbar sein

Falls jemand weiß, ob sich die Farbe der LED der PS4 Controller anpassen lässt, wäre ich sehr dankbar (Bei mehreren Spielern haben nur im Modus "violett" die Controller verschiedene Farben, im USB-Modus "rot" leuchtet jeder Controller in der Farbe blau). Und eventuell weiß jemand, ob es möglich ist, alleinig die Knöpfe A-B miteinander zu tauschen und die Knöpfe X und Y ungeändert zu lassen.

Ich hoffe, ich kann mit meiner kurzen Zusammenstellung dem einen oder anderen etwas Zeit ersparen und weiterhelfen.

100% mit Kombination Nintendo Switch und Xbox360 für Windows Controller

Mein Sohn hat seit einiger Zeit eine Nintendo Switch und wir spielen sehr gerne zu zweit damit. Seit kurzem haben wir auch Fifa 18, allerdings muss ich sagen das es zu zweit mit den beiden Standard JoyCons keinen richtigen spaß macht. Ok, für unterwegs ist es in Ordnung, aber nicht für zuhause auf dem TV. Für mich ist es noch schwieriger, da ich von meinem PC meinen kabelgebundenen Xbox360 für Windows Controller gewohnt bin, der natürlich ein ganz anderes Spiel Gefühl bietet.
Bevor ich mir den Original Nintendo Pro Controller kaufe, der sehr teuer ist, oder einen der zahlreichen Dritt Anbieter Lösungen die niemals an die Qualität meines Xbox360 Controllers kommen, habe ich erstmal nach Alternativen gesucht und bin auf diesen Adapter gestoßen.

Ich mache es kurz: er funktioniert perfekt! USB Stick in die Docking Station, mit dem Knopf umschalten bis die LED mit der Farbe Rot den Xbox360 Modus anzeigt und los geht's. Die Tasten funktionieren alle, inklusive der Xbox Taste (geht auf den Home Bildschirm der Switch) ohne jede Verzögerung oder Probleme inklusive Vibration. In FIFA kann man die Tasten auch auf der Switch belegen wie man möchte.

Rein aus Interesse habe ich noch einen kabellosen Xbox One Controller getestet, auch dieser hat problemlos funktioniert. Allerdings wird der original kabellose Xbox360 Controller nicht unterstützt! Echt cooles Teil dieser Adapter. Übrigens wird eine kurze Anleitung, Aufkleber und eine Übersicht über die Tastenbelegung sowie ein kurzes hübsches USB-C auf USB (female) Kabel mitgeliefert. Mit letzterem geht mein Xbox360 Controller sogar direkt an der Switch, wirklich erstaunlich. Wichtig: der Adapter kann er entweder einen Kabellosen oder einen kabelgebundenen Controller anbinden, nicht beides!

Fazit: funktioniert einwandfrei und bietet für günstiges Geld ( die Hälfte des Nintendo Pro Controllers!) die Möglichkeit viele verschiedene Controller zu nutzen.

Absolutly brilliant. I have a bunch of Xbox 360 controllers left over and they work great with this product. If you have a wired controller, they work by just connecting it. I bought this specifically, because I have a Hori Real Arcade Pro VX SA Arcade Stick for the XBox 360 that I would like to be able to use with my Switch. It worked right away after just plugging it in.
