Firstly, this registers as an HID device, which means it will work natively on PS3, and most PCs and Macs. It will also work on Raspberry Pi. I bought this with that in mind, because I wanted to be able to run an N64 controller through this device, then through my TitanOne, to play on my Xbox One. The TitanOne has a debugging feature that let's you see what buttons are being pushed and to what degree. Using an OEM N64 controller with the GC analog mod through the TitanOne reads 74% maximum outlier on the analog stick. This is an easy fix in code on the T1, and is likely caused by a lack of appropriate power due to utilizing two controller adapters on the Xbone. But it works! Only other issue, likely caused by the same problem, is that Up on the D-Pad also reads as the PS/Xbox Guide button. This also happens with the Sega Saturn 3D pad. Again, alleviated by a few lines of code in the T1. Absolutely insane feeling, playing Nights into Dreams HD on Xbone with an original Saturn 3D pad! If you're trying to do ridiculous things like me, this'll get you where you need to go. Playing Perfect Dark HD with an N64 controller feels (side by side to original 64 and Xbone) like there is almost zero input lag. At least an imperceptible amount. This blue bad boy has its quirks, but the fact that it's driver free, and HID makes it highly versatile. Quit playin with junk, and git yerself a real controller adapter like this, and pair the old blue lady with a T1 or T2 so you can play like the pros do, big chief! You wanna play with the big boys? This adapter is your big boy pants. Now all you need is a beautiful girl, and you'll be on every list in bad boy town as a VIP. Be sure to add a pack of Magnums to your Amazon cart when you guy this, cause I swear I grew a few inches after I bought this, too. Happy gaming!

No drivers to download... plug it in and it works. This is a wonderful piece of hardware. I tested it with an N64 controller, a Sega Saturn pad, and a PS2 controller.

N64 - The DPad and analog stick appear to be equivalent in all the games I tested. I don't believe there is any way to map different actions to the DPad while still keeping the analog stick for movement. All the other buttons appear to work though!

Sega Saturn Pad - Every button works, no issues. I may have experienced some button lag, but it's not a consistent thing and it might have just been the games I was playing or the controller itself (it was used when I bought it). Even if this device caused the button lag, it wasn't bad enough to really affect the gameplay. The DPad worked great, without any issues.

PS2 Controller - Works great. I tested it in Dark Souls, a game that requires use of every button on the controller. Because it was the PC version of Dark Souls you can't remap the buttons so it was awkward to play, but the right stick worked great, all the buttons did... something (select defaulted to "lock-on", ha ha) and overall I was very impressed with the ability of the PS2 controller to play a game with complex control demands on PC. NOTE: You HAVE to hit the analog button before you can use the right stick. It defaults to using the DPad if you don't.

This converter works so well that I ended up ordering a Saturn Virtua Stick. I pretty much have no doubts that it will work just fine when it gets here. I HIGHLY recommend this converter. The price is very reasonable and it works great!

I bought this because I wanted a good 6-button layout controller, and the original Saturn pad is still one of the best in that regard. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this device and have not noticed any issues with button accuracy, or connection seating, but there are a few caveats: The first is that there are some disconnect issues. This seems to happen in conjunction with certain keyboard inputs (for example, pushing a button to reload mid-game). The second is that the D-Pad registers as both a hat and as a set of four buttons with the Saturn controller. This causes some game mapping software to treat one D-pad press as two inputs, and in some instances, I've had to use a 3rd-party controller to keyboard mapping software to get around this issue, even in games with native controller support.

I am a Sega Saturn controller fans and use it for all of my fighting games. I have been looking for a good Saga Saturn controller converter for my PC & Playstaton 3 games and I finally found one. This controller is extremely well constructed and my Saturn controller (both type 1 & 2) works well on Windows XP, Windows 7, and my Playstation 3. I am not sure why some reviewer say it does not work on PS3 but I have no problem whatsoever with this converter with my PS3. It works with the manual and with all of my PSN and PS3 games like SF4, Marvel vs Capcom, SF x Tekken, DC vs Mortal Kobat, etc. I would have to say it is one of the most well-built converters I have used so far. Highly recommended for all the Sega Saturn Controller fans who want to use their Saturn controller for PC or PS3 games.

    Update: 2016-05-24:
Tested the converter at my friends home with PS4. It works perfectly with my Sega Saturn controller playing Street Fighter 5 as the legacy controller in the option manual. I did not have the chance to test the converter with other games. FYI for those who may consider using this converter for their PS4 fighters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfecto con Pc y Rgbpi
Reviewed in Spain on January 31, 2023

5.0 out of 5 stars Play the right games with the right controllers
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 7, 2017
If you’re into your Emulator gaming then this is an essential purchase. I’ve still got my old Nintendos, Playstations and SEGAs, but in the main I will play emulator versions of the games for convenience. As such, I have all the original joypads but never thought to investigate whether I could use them on my Laptop (which I have connected by HDMI to the big telly).

Well, this device does just that. It works seamlessly with my N64 and Saturn controllers, which I still maintain are two of the best controllers I’ve ever used. The Saturn controller is brilliant for playing Megadrive emulated games, while trying to play an N64 game without an N64 controller is simply madness. Goldeneye with any other controller? Are you mad?

I’ve had this for a couple of years now and it’s been magnificent. Highly recommended.
