How to use with SSF Saturn emulator

- Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2024This thing doesn't work with SSF (a 2024 version anyway) but you can map the buttons to keyboard keys using "AntiMicroX", a free program similar to Xpadder or Joy2Key. Those probably work too.
You'll need this pic (comes with the device) to know which button number is which button on your Sega controller. Like "7" is Z in D-input mode. I haven't attempted analog yet. I found that the number row doesn't work for some reason, so I used WSAD for the D-pad and JKL/IOP for the ABC/XYZ, Enter for Start, and Z/X for the shoulders. Then just go into SSF and "define" your controller.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 20254/5 stars because it arrived DEAD. But then I FIXED it.
I don't blame anyone or anything other than happenstance and human error. I had to repair some internal wiring and after repair it worked as described! No driver needed. Just plug and play.
I'd recommend people buy this if you need to connect some fight sticks or gamepads to your PC. I'd wager that MY experience is rare.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2012This product is very straightforward and functional - just what you want and expect out of a console-to-USB adapter. It is a substantial improvement over the 3-system (PS2/N64/SS) adapter, which used to be the only adapter available for Sega Saturn until Mayflash came out with this one. The major innovation here is that you can plug two Saturn controllers into one adapter, which saves you from needing an adapter for each controller. The unit is about 4"x6"x2", very lightweight, and quite portable. The cord is plenty long. A minor point worth mentioning is that the black color nicely matches the controllers, unlike the bluish purple of the old adapter. Finally, the price is a bit lower ($5-$10) than the previous one. Buying this plus one controller shouldn't cost much more than $40 shipped to your door. That cost was worth it to me, to be able to use a quality Japanese-made console controller (with all that R&D and QA testing). I couldn't help but notice how many aftermarket USB controllers seem to have issues (and sketchy ratings here on Amazon)...
- Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2023this really work, but the voltage of the adapter is not good for my retropie 4,in a pc can be diferrent, this almost burn my retropie 4 X.X
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2020X-Input mode sends inputs from both ports out as a single controller. D-Input does not.
WORKAROUND! Set the controller to D-Input. Open Steam Big Picture. Set the controller up. You'll fail the first time because each D-Pad direction registers two buttons. That's fine, just get to the end and save. Once you're done, go back INTO the controller configuration, and Steam will allow you to set one button at a time. That will fix the d-pad problem.
Some games (Under Night: In-Birth) will not accept the Steam input. There's an option under "Controller Configuration" in the Big Picture menu (Shift+Tab) that will let you set the "Steam Controller" to "Force". Set that and restart the game. I've now got 2 players working without a hitch.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2014I ordered it without reading the reviews and I was worried about people complaining about input lag. I decided to test it out on Pac Man CE:DX for PC because of the amount quickness and precision needed in the game. I ended up almost beating my high score after the first time, which is awesome because it took me forever just to get that score with my Classic Controller Pro. There was absolutely no lag and all I had to do was plug in and play, x360ce recognized it right away too. I highly recommend this adapter for you retro gamers, don't hesitate to buy, you won't regret it.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2024I had seen very mixed reviews on this item and I ended up contacting Mayflash to ask about its product. Their page hadn't been updated since 2013 but I received a very confident response from their support so I decided to follow through and order since, worst case scenario, I would initiate a return and use the communication as evidence. It fortunately did not need to get to that level!
The two controller ports are not for two players, first of all. This device uses separate ports for either D-Input or X-Input, and it has a switch to pick which one to use. The art on the box and in the images is misleading with regards to that. This and the larger foot print are what lead me to taking 1 star off.
On to the positive. This works with PC software, from older games (attempted with Manx TT Superbike, NBA Live, Motocross Madness 2) to newer titles (Nights into Dreams on Steam). Leaving it in X-Input is recommended, I am not sure what the use case for D-Input will be as though the inputs would read on the Hardware Properties page, it would not work with any of the aforementioned titles.

Epilep6Reviewed in France on December 12, 20215.0 out of 5 stars Satisfait.

Premier commentaire:
Vendu par CazorNation et expédié par Amazon.

- PlayStation 3 -
Testé sur Under Defeat, Raiden IV, Gate of Thunder, Winds of Thunder... tout fonctionne sans aucun problème.

JanReviewed in Germany on April 1, 20145.0 out of 5 stars Funktioniert einwandfrei Sega Saturn Controller Adapter für PC USB für 2 Pads/Sticks.
