About the Author

Libby Romero was a journalist and a teacher before becoming an author. Her books include the biography Ibn al-Haytham: The Man Who Discovered How We See, as well as teacher guides, interactive whiteboards, and a variety of other materials, including National Geographic's Explorer magazines and the Smithsonian Institution's TweenTribune. Libby is the author of DK Life Stories: Helen Keller (January 2019) and DK Life Stories: Jane Goodall (August 2019), and DK Life Stories: Amelia Earhart (publishing in February 2020).

Olga Baumert is an artist and illustrator. Originally from Poland, she studied Fine Art and Jewellery before moving to the UK, where she received her degree in Graphic Design and Illustration at De Montfort University.

Love this book! The careful attention to details surrounding story of the Mayflower voyage make perfect for older elementary, illustrations are absolutely amazing. This was perfect for a read aloud to our third grader, but I think older and younger ages would enjoy as well. In fact, our son did not seem to want me to stop reading this to him, the book was that good! I found it to have much more information than some of the books for younger children which made it exactly what i was looking for. Very pleased!
