The following are 3 books that have helped me cope with my diagnosis, & enter this new chapter of my life…
Live each day to fullest!! Never quit your Dreams!! Enjoy the little things!! . . . .
From Amazon I purchased the Hard cover book June 2019:
"The Menopause Solution Mayo Clinic" == Author Stephanie S. Faubion, M.D.
>> This book had a lot of great reviews so I got it as well. I have not read the whole book yet, but in the process. Since I'm on Letrozole for 5 years, and my Lumpectomy Breast Cancer surgery & another surgery that put me straight into Menopause.... this book will be very helpful.
Gift from a friend that survived Breast Cancer in 2018- She gave the book to me a week after my diagnosis May 2019 :
"Breast Cancer Treatment Handbook" == Author: Judy C Kneece, RN, OCN.
>> This book helped me tremendously before surgery, recovering from surgery, and what is next. This book has a great deal of pictures, which I really liked showing what happens for search type of cancer. Goes into detail for so many areas that go along with treatment plan, Diet n exercise, health insurance, understanding the Diagnostic tests, pathology results, Chemo/radiation treatments, & so much more. I'm so glad my friend gave me this book. It is a great resource. My friend got it from where she had her Breast Cancer Treatment done- the Hospital gave them to their patients last year.
From Amazon I purchased Digital format for Kindle July 2019:
“Getting Things Off My Chest: A Survivor's Guide to Staying Fearless and Fabulous in the Face of Breast Cancer” == Author: Melanie Young.
>> I bought the book July 2019 because of the great reviews. I book marked several areas/pages in book to refer back to on my Kindle. Information for what to do before having surgery, insurance issues, keeping a binder with your appointment info, insurance info, what you pay.
I have Excel sheets for what I have for prescription, over the counter medication. I need to be on certain vitamins for my Medication so I'm keeping track of receipts for vitamins (Vitamin D, Calcium, multi-vitamin.)
specific gluten free deodorant, and lotions for radiation as well. Gas mileage to appointments. Just another chapter in my life book to get through.
This author wrote about her experiences and added other areas for anyone going through any type of breast cancer and what to do to live each day to the fullest. Thank you for telling your story. Many resources throughout the book as well. :-) I will be checking back at this book many times.
That is all I have right now. . .
