4.2 out of 5 stars 31 customer reviews
About the Product
  • No soy or canola oil.
  • Certified Organic
  • Dr. Mary Enig

Product Description

This certified organic mayonnaise, made from a unique oil blend, is like no other. The oils were selected based on the writings of Dr. Mary Enig. In this unique mayo you will discover the raw taste of a centrifuged olive oil with its olive taste, the raw tahini taste characteristic of sesame seeds, and the gentle, sweet taste of raw coconuts. Each oil provides a very distinctive, natural flavor and the blend creates a product unlike any other mayonnaise on the market. Each oil has its own distinctive color as well. This mayonnaise is a deep orange yellow color, the result of the rich greenish-yellow color of the olive oil and the rich yellow-brown color of the unrefined sesame seed oil. What ingredients are in our mayo? • Certified Organic, (Raw) Centrifuged Extra Virgin Olive Oil • Certified Organic, (Raw) Unrefined Sesame Seed Oil • Certified Organic, (Raw) Virgin Coconut Oil • Certified Organic, Egg yolks from Cage Free Chickens (pre-tested for Salmonella) • Certified Organic, Vinegar from Rye • Certified Organic, Spices (Ground Mustard, Garlic, Onion & Paprika) • Monk Fruit Extract - just a very tiny amount to take off the tartness of the vinegar (no carriers, no excipients, just pure monk fruit that has been soaked and then dried into a white powder) • Xanthan Gum - just a trace to aid in the stability of the mayonnaise (This xanthan gum is made by fermenting glucose. The glucose used comes from the fermentation of corn that is grown in Europe where GMO seeds/crops are not allowed. The spec sheet on this particular gum shows that there are no corn proteins found in this xanthan gum and it is guaranteed to be non-GMO) • Sea Salt Note: We will be sensitive to shipping when outside temperature becomes very cold due to our location in Northern Minnesota. (Ships Mondays and Tuesdays only during winter months.) This product cannot be shipped to Australia.

This is a high-quality product, and I agree with the first reviewer: it would cost as much, if not more, to make this yourself from the same oils from retail bottles and jars. I've been making my own mayonnaise for years and while homemade is my favourite; with the price of top-quality, extra virgin olive oil right now, it just doesn't make any sense. And I'd hate to compromise with a lesser oil.

This mayo is tasty as is and also takes very well to additions of lemon juice, minced garlic, dill, tarragon, and capers; as well as pureed roasted peppers, garlic, sea salt and cayenne pepper. I even use it for spicy tuna hand rolls: mix finely chopped, sashimi-grade fresh tuna with some of this mayo, a bit of Nama Shoyu, Umeboshi plum vinegar, hot pepper toasted sesame oil and minced hot red chiles and scallions to taste. Now I'm all hungry.

This is a great staple to have on hand, and will adapt to whatever you throw at it. Best of all, you can feel peaceful about eating the health-promoting fats in this mayo and avoiding the soy, canola, chemically treated salt and preservatives in the other brands out there.

I know you are thinking $10 for mayo!!!It is crazy ,but the mayo is soooo good and made with the best fats around. I am a low carber so I eat alot of mayo so I need it be quality. It would cost about the same to make it homemade, if you bought the ingredients used in this mayo individually. Give it a try it won't dissapoint.

Wilderness Family Naturals offers many delicious products.
Life's too short to ruin your body with junky/trans/soy/canola....stepped-on, over-processed and extensively GMO'd.
Their mayo is the best I've EVER tasted. The fats are all high-caliber.
Yes, pricy, BUT look at what you are getting. Balanced fats formulated with Mary Enig in mind. If you don't know who she is, get educated about good fats, then buy this and taste a great mayo.

I can't believe that after all these years I have found a mayonnaise that is made with ONLY healthy oils -- organic expeller pressed coconut oil, olive oil and sesame oil. These are the only truly non-inflammatory oils that can protect your health. If you study any other mayonnaise you will see that it contains soy oil (inflammatory and can depress thyroid function), safflower or canola oil, also both inflammatory. And this mayo tastes great. It is a little tangier than say Hellman's but still delicious. I have made mustard sauce with it to bake salmon and it holds together beautifully at high heat. And of course it is just great in a tuna or chicken salad or any other mayonnaise use. The perfect choice for anyone on Paleo or following Weston Price Foundation guidelines.

I'm surprised there aren't a thousand reviews on this product which symbolizes full bodied, fueling flavor. It does have a quality collection of deserved praise, and a well earned, excellent sales rank.

This product's information and ingredients disclosures are refreshingly clear, reading like a gourmet ad for rapture in texture and taste.

The reality of receiving and using this mayo goes well beyond reflecting the truth in every word in its description.

My beloved mayo was the first food I noticed, with grieving horror, which had been altered in the marketplace, in the name of heart "health." When I realized what the change was truly in the name of, I didn't want to hold that sick awareness in my mind. Read THE DARK SIDE OF CINDERELLA by doctors Mary Enig and Sally Fallon, if you want a clue.

The disappointed had gone to soul level, which I felt when seeing the oil switch in ingredients lists of nearly every mayo-type condiment stocked on supermarket shelves.

The joy felt was absolute, when I discovered and experienced this family's courage to provide an alternate choice of a heavenly recipe.

Sometimes what is done in the name of "health and public safety" has to be undone in the name of reality and sanity.

Bless those who return dark machinations to right, light, and yum.

I can't count the number of favorite food preparations I began to discontinue when I discovered that mayo had been brought away from its original healthy [IMO] recipe by the soybean push. Now I don't need a cosmic level calculator. I can return to the healthy spice of life in full measure... at least in uses of my beloved mayo.

Thank you Amazon and Wilderness Family,
Linda Shelnutt

This mayonnaise tastes fabulous and it's the only mayo I've been able to find without canola oil. I like that it has raw, unrefined oils as well, instead of low quality oils already rancid and damaged by heat and light. It's health promoting and I tend to lose a little weight when I use it as well, I'm guessing due to the coconut oil. I hope they never stop making it.

SOOOOOOOO DISGUSTING!!!!!!!! Ordered 3 after reading and hearing so many positive reviews. Even after stirring, and storing in the fridge for a while, it is SO WATERY!!!! I don't see for the life of me how anyone could spread this on a sandwich???? It is SO thin!! You dip your knife in it and take it out to spread on a sandwich and almost all of it just slides off like water. What's left that you can put on bread is just like water and makes your bread soggy. Also, it is not at all like the photos pictured (creamy)... it is yellow, gritty, EXTREMELY watery (thin), always separated, mustardy-tasting, and does NOT taste good (in our opinion--family of 5)... overall, just YUCK, YUCK, YUCK! We are simply baffled by the positive reviews! I wrote the company (twice) after I received the jars and asked if this texture/extreme thinness was normal (I was hoping to give it the benefit of the doubt--I thought maybe there was a chance they got too hot while being shipped) yet I never got a response. Not impressed. Will never order again (and will be looking to see how I can rid ourselves of the 2 extra jars I ordered). If you're looking for a healthier mayo, try the Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil mayo... although all its ingredients are not organic (important ones like eggs & vinegar are), I decided it's worth it (for taste) and the best choice for our family... it's SO creamy & delicious... much more similar to traditional mayo; both of these mayos are rated as "good" (neither are rated "best") on the WAPF Find Real Food App, so WHY choose this one?
