I just had the exact same issue as the first reviewer. The dryer worked great until (I assume) the heating element stopped working. I have a call in to get it repaired but it is very frustrating. The Maytag name is what got me to buy this dryer and it seems that there is something seriously wrong with this product.

Quit after 13 months and Maytag will not standby there defective drier. What a joke! Poor quality ignitor and electronic components. Maytag is just not the quality they once were.

Update............,,,,
Well it worked for 3 weeks since it was repaired. If you enjoy spending more money than you did to buy this thing on repair bills than Maytag should be your dryer of choice

I have had absolutely no problems with this dryer. I've had it for 3 years. It has all the standard settings. My favorite thing about it is at the end of the cycle, it will tumble it at low heat for a little while every 10 minutes or so to prevent wrinkles - it'll do this for a considerable amount of time - I want to say about 30 minutes or more. So you can take your time getting stuff out of the dryer. It's a nice looking dryer, I'd recommend it, but it's discontinued. Still looks and runs good as new. I got it at an outlet for less than $350.

It does not give me a good feeling that the dryer has issues already. The drum has ceased to spin. It is still under warranty but not happy that I need to use it.

My dryer is less that a month old and the repair man is scheduled to come out next week for the 5th time. Yes, 5th time. All they can say is that is is like a computer. So far they have replaced the board that runs the timer dial (it did not move,) the buzzer and now a knob that rattles so loud you can hear it across the house. What a hunk of JUNK and I am no where near paying it off.
