after using for approx 2 months i have Uninstalled this ""LiveSafe" a few days ago just to see if "it' was the culprit .....and YUP.... gee it completely slowed my computer(s) down. I am thinking that it analyzed every mouse click so much that it prevented anything to be done. Many many times it prevented Firefox from opening websites... as common as Amazon, Google News etc. Sometime so bad I needed to do a reboot to even close the browser window. Even had to resort to the On/Off switch when i had no cursor or keyboard control. Maybe there are settings somewhere that would prevent this but sorting through McAfee minutiae to find was unsuccessful. And it's not that i am computer illiterate but how frustrating to try use something you buy and it totally does opposite to your computer
So far, this is the best protection I've found. It doesn't slow down my computer and I can use it on a limitless number of devices. We have a lot and we keep getting more, so unlimited protection is the only version I'll buy.
WARNING!!! Be very careful when you go on line to download the software
I must of mistyped the address and wound up on a site which mimicked the real site. My first misgiving was that when I typed in my product key the site did not automatically provide the normal dash between the three character strings. The next problem I ran into was when I tried to install the product I received an error and instructions to call customer service and provided me with this number 1-855-533-8893. The phone was answered by someone with an Indian accent (Which I guess is normal) who gave me instructions on what to do to fix the network error which indicated that I had been infected with a Trojan virus. He was very knowledgeable and almost sounded like a salesman in the excess of information he was giving me, but after a while I realized that he was in reality attempting to gain unauthorized access to my computer. I immediately pulled the network cable and undid everything he had me do, reset everything, ran another virus check, with no viruses discovered. I the managed to type in the correct URL address an successfully installed the software which rescanned the computer. The software works very well with a minimal impact on my system. Post note: I went out and changed all of my passwords to be safe.
