Product Description

Originally hailing from the planet Korugar, Sinestro once served as the Green Lantern of Sector 1417 and quickly gained recognition among the Corps for his ability to police his sector. However, peace came at a price. Sinestro's determination to preserve order caused him to act more as a dictator than a protector. It wasn't until then new recruit Hal Jordan learned of Sinestro's methods that the Guardians were informed and Sinestro was ejected from the Corps. Steadfast in his belief of moral superiority and methods of maintaining order, Sinestro formed the Sinestro Corps, harnessing the yellow energy of fear, to not only combat the Guardians, whom he sees as the main obstacle on the path to intergalactic peace, but to also strengthen the Green Lantern Corps.

      The construct it comes with alone is cool. McFarlane needs to add these types of constructs, that goes on the hand and look like Sinestro is actually firing/creating the construct when you put it on his hand and have him aim it, as the lanterns do, also the lantern is the right color, he needs to stop adding those goku fire energy blast punch accessories that came with figures back to parallax hal Jordan, this one and the new Jon Stewart plastic man ring effect accessories should be in every lantern box, no question. the figure is also very good quality, with no shortcuts I can see, the torso and lower torso are both rocking a sculpt that is not Re-use, that is the there point slimline Sinestro has used for years now, the emblem is not only painted on, it is sculpted as well. the new Hal Jordan does not have half the quality of this figure, the digital Silver Age Hal Jordan should have done what this or the BAF plastic man, John Stewart has, I was happy with this, but not with hal

      I'm a fan of the character and this figure is a good representation of the classic Green Lantern villain. It does come with a few accessories but it is a bit over priced. I'm not sure why this one is $30 and the normal figures are $20.

      I am so glad that I have this figure, the details of the sculpt work is spectacular. The articulation is smooth, and the package came in well protected. However, I really hope the Mcfarlane Toys team adapts a new accessory standard because we do not need two stands for Collector’s Edition figures. I would much rather have interchangeable hands, headsculpts or even a flight stand.
