No other vehicle was more iconic and notable in AMC's The Walking Dead than Dale's RV. Owned and operated by fan-favorite character Dale, the RV often served as a flagship and lookout tower during the survivors' attempts to seek shelter in the apocalyptic world. Fans can relive and build this iconic vehicle and owner to protect their building set figures.

That said, McFarlane is known for its faithfully detailed representations of the properties it possesses. This is no different, as the intricate moldings of the smaller pieces clearly show!
That said, the plastic quality itself is less than standard. Half of the bricks have to be forcibly shoved into place, and a good chunk of the remaining bricks will fall easily pop off if you aren't careful.
As such, the build process of this model took a painstaking two hours, simply because bricks and other small pieces kept snapping off if I dared to hold onto a seemingly sturdy floor section for leverage to connect another brick!
Additionally, the door comes with a "screen door" that you can snap into place on its inside, but opening the main door often causes the screen door to come loose and fall out.
The instruction book appears to be hastily printed, with alternate colors for many of the bricks; there's even a loose page that seems to have been added last minute towards the end!
Another nitpick - the inside detail left a lot to be desired. Yeah, I know it's just a model meant for display, but the inside of the RV is completely barren save for the dashboard and two front seats. I was hoping to assemble the kitchen furnishings, maybe even the bed in the back, but no; all you get beyond the front seats are a couple of support pillars midway through, and good luck keeping them standing during construction!
Still, the roof pieces are not meant to be taken off. This is not a toy, it is a model. At the end of the day, it looks like a very detailed plastic model instead of a Lego set with connector nubs sticking out at the top, and that's really all that matters.
There was a little trouble putting together the body parts of Dale and the Zombies (and Dale's rifle struggles to remain on his back), but once put together, they're neat little figurines complete with handy little stands to keep them upright.
The end result of this set is very satisfying to look at and is a good gift for a Walking Dead fan, but if you're looking for a fun time building it? I suggest acquiring a Brick Separator tool and having a loooooot of patience.
