For some reason, the Cortana figures are always "almost" figures - they're "almost" really good. But each fails in some way. This one really disappointed me more than the others because what I received didn't look as good as pictures online. With the others at least you knew the shortcomings beforehand, this one, not really.

First, there's the packaging. It's in the formed plastic around it like so many figures are, yet they STILL taped things down - including the touch panel. So it was a bit of work to get the nasty strip of old adhesive off of it. Real overkill considering the shape of the plastic formed around it kept it from moving anyway.

As another reviewer mentioned, the hand with the floating screen is really tough to get pushed into place on the arm. There's a small male piece that snaps into the female piece on the wrist. The stand-alone hand comes in place on it, and you pop that out to put this one on. And there's no good way to grip it to snap it in, since the force required is excessive compared to the fragility of the piece. The hand is secured at her fingertips - the thumb is not secured, and there's no good way to grab the wrist to snap in place since that ends up bending the plastic of the screen away from the hand. I may have been able to use a needle nose pliers or something to grasp with while pushing, but I was afraid that the metal would scratch the colors on the hand if I did that. I ended up with the screen breaking off of the hand since I felt that was a better risk than scratching it. I used a small drop of hot glue to reattach it again (and just now remembered I left the glue gun plugged in for the last 40 minutes and have a little stalagmite of glue under it).

So, Huge nerd. Got this for my halo collection. Hand broke when i tried to swap it out for the computer terminal. Also, doesn't glow like the previous generation Cortanas, so that's another point.

Needs better mechanism for swapping out the hand.

I take long time to decide to buy this figure. I was disappointed after see the photos in Macfarland web site.

Halo Series seems was created in a middle zone quality, it's a rare hybrid, is not a collector figure with traditional Macfarland quality (like spawn statues) and is not a toy for kids; so from the promotional web photos you can't be sure if the final mass production figure will have good painting quality, and if the modeling really is accurate with the video game character in details and proportions.

Few months after, I saw a photo showing the figure inside the package, from this view looks better, I thought.
Then I decided to get it.

When I received the figure was happy because really looks better and cute.

The figure looks good. I like it so much as little piece of art itself, but for Halo Video Game series, really needs a lot
of improvements, just must be better.

Negative aspects:
-Needs extra support to stand straight. (I had to use double face adhesive in the left foot)
-The color is not similar at video game, it has to much blue, and from the far view looks like solid color.
-The face color is more lighting than the body
-The eyes looks rare, you don't know if she is looking to right or left.
-The female proportions are not accurate with Cortana video game proportions.
-Articulations are designed for just one pose.

Good aspects:
-Hair color and effect is very nice.
-The full body color is satin paint, it's give a big soft brightness in curves surfaces.
-The hologram panel at her right hand seems floating in the air.
-The final pose looks relaxed and elegant.
-Good real human proportions.

I bought this in the more economical 5 pack. She looks just like she does in halo 4, which is quite an evolution from the first halo, but not a bad one. I do like the light-up display from the older figures, but this one is decent. She is slightly translucent and more human than before. This figure is really meant for only one pose, despite the articulation. That being said it's not a bad pose. The hand is difficult to remove and install, but I like that because that translates into long term stability. Over-all, I'm happy with her. If you're looking to make her ride in a jeep holding a shotgun you'll be disappointed; but, if you're looking for a 3D representation of your favorite artificial intelligence than look no further ( unless they make an art-quality piece somewhere down the line--*fingers crossed*... ). Definitely does not reserve only one star.

To start off good luck putting on the hand with the screen attached to it you will almost break the figure doing this. She stand's at a angle that makes her look like she is about to fall over. This is a horrible figure very little detail and no movement.

I read previous comments and still decided to get one anyway due to it being a good price and nice addition to my Halo collection. As everyone else said, the hand broke off from the panel when attempting to swap it out. This is due to the super tight fit of the balljoint in the wrist. When applying pressure to snap the hand into the arm it puts stress on the top of the hand where the panel is and it ends up separating. I was able to glue it back on, but this is definitely a major flaw with the figure that should be addressed. I was SUUUUPER cautious swapping out the hands due to reading these reviews but honestly I feel like there's no way to get it on without breaking it. As long as it's the hand breaking apart from the panel and not the balljoint itself bending or breaking you're fine though. Just be very cautious!
