Product Description

While scientist Alec Holland was working on a formula to grow plant life where there is none, a rival organization vying for the formula, set off a bomb that covered Alec in his bio-restorative serum. To escape the flames of the explosion, he stumbled into a nearby swamp where he mutated into the strange hero known as Swamp Thing! Swamp Thing has superhuman strength and the ability to regenerate any portion of his body. He can also command plants to do his bidding and change locations instantly by inhabiting vegetation anywhere in the world.

      The figure is great as was the other releases prior to this. The glow paint added was nice since it blends well on a green figure but the overall paint isn’t better than the original release. It is nice that it has the standard release and GameStop exclusive head included for those that wanted both. Sadly as is the way with almost all Amazon exclusives the packaging was damaged on arrival. I don’t care that some of you think it’s dumb to leave these in package, it’s a limited edition figure. Packaging matters to most of us and Amazon pays to contract exclusives just to damage their own limited products. Overall though it’s worth getting if you want/need this figure but if you don’t care about the glow and have the regular release then this is a safe pass.

      The alternate head alone was worth the buy but throw in the black light, I was sold pretty easily. Unboxing it was very satisfying. One of my favorite figures and easily my favorite mega at this point.
      I'm starting to piece together a crossover zombies vs heroes/villains right now and he's kind of a center piece on the h/v side (want to eventually make a full wall shelf with landscape, turn the atrocitus into a black lantern, and probably add a few more to each side)

      I loved that I was able to get in on this Ltd. Edition Glow in the Dark Amazon exclusive figure. Its' large imposing stance looks scary which fits Swamp Thing ideally. The detail on this figure is outstanding and a big part of Swamp Thing's character being reborn of swamp material. The build quality of the figure is great as well - this figure has some substantial weight to it which lets me know he will be with me for quite awhile. As a card collector of many subjects from sports to cartoons, I was pleased with the inclusion of the character card. I like that there are multiple headpieces for this character as I'm quite fond of Swamp Thing's antlers. The one thing that completely failed was the handling of the shipment as this Limited Edition figure arrived to my house within an Amazon box but had a huge hole in the side of the packaging. I don't understand how these store fail to protect our purchase especially a limited edition collectable. Would like to see Amazon exact a bit of care when handling a $50 purchase of a limited edition item.

      While a bit stiff... this figure looks amazing. Glow in the dark works really well, but you need to have it under a strong light source... it won't glow under normal room light. It is also massive!
