We got this for my son (9) and it's lots of fun-mainly because the characters are magnetic and can be rearranged. We all take turns rearranging the display and it becomes a family joke-kind of our version of Elf on a Shelf. The main reason this is so fun is because it's magnetic so all kinds of silly scenes can be created. We are not collectors and I cannot say if this has any value but it's a fun thing to play around with and we enjoy it.
I love the Simpsons and have many of the other sets. This one was a bit frustrating to me, though. Marge can't really hold the weight of anything that stacked upon her unless you put her on a very specific position (the scene in the box where she's standing on the doughnut boxes is impossible, she'll fall off every time). I expected it to be better built.
The Simpsons couch gag is a fun way to enjoy our goofiest family when the show isn't on. The magnetic attachments make it possible to arrange the figures in scads of ways; you don't have to look at it the same way twice. But don't eat it!

Well i wouldnt have bought this for the 20 doller price tag you see most places, but since at the moment it is only 10 i gave in and purchased it. its really cool looking when you first open it up, but once you attempt to stack them as shown on the box, you get a little frustrated. Its complicated to get them to balance and such and its just a pain to get it the way you want it. also i have one minor complaint: that is the couch does not snap into place because the pegs dont line up, but that could just be mine.
