These companies get away with showing off a product which is a pre retail mold and paint job. What you get is totally different paint variation not much close to the photos they use to sell there item. The best part of these figures are the faces. They do not pose well at all if you open them and try you will be pissed you opened it and rather kept it sealed for a collectable. If you get a good pose in the package the ones i see all look odd except for a set i hand picked.
The hands look like they will break very easy and the thumbs are so small and skinny i know those will break first. They added more movement since the stock photo they used to but they should of just left it as a statue cause moving these joints is a no no you will see if you open/buy one.
I am shocked how badly McFarlane made these figures and how different they are from the photo they used for selling this product. In my book that is false advertising since many people buy online and never see them in the store. I bought a set with a preorder and bought a set to open and wish i just bought the one to keep sealed.
Rick Grimes looks cool in the package and Daryl is not bad to. Just remember they do not pose really in any other way at all so just keep them sealed or expect to open them just to pose how they are in the package besides moving the heads the right way.Read more ›
That said, this is the very first thing McFarlane has done in years to seduce my interest & its been shot beyond any hope of reviving this company. I love the Walking Dead series, I love zombies, and I love me some action figures. When you combine those together you make some of the happiest nerds on the planet. These Walking Dead figures Mcfarlane are marketing, however, are nothing short of pathetic. Mcfarlane who was competing against high end toy companies is now competing with Happy meal toys? Almost 20 years of business and this is their latest effort up to date? Really? I can't even begin to fathom how terrible these figures are. First off, the sculpting is truely awful. There's little resemblence to the actors from TWD in these figures, if any at all. Second, the articulation make these figures look blocky, almost like they're bound together with chunks of play-doh. People have complained in the past concerning the lack of articulation in McFarlane's products. In most cases, limited articulation worked for McFarlane because it granted them more durability when standing up. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather a McFarlane figure that has incredible craftsmanship and visually striking details with little to no mobility than a much more inferior sculpt with heaps of clunky articulated joints. In this case, there's almost too much articulation, and it doesn't help that most of it is rendered useless since these figures were obviously sculpted to only look good in their default position.Read more ›

THe figure has a reasonably good likeness to the actor. The real reason I bought it is because it was the only Walking Dead Figure my wife was missing from her Collection. Read morePublished on January 2, 2014 by Allen Cruce
