For everyone who has written a negative review about this, I suspect you are not using it correctly. Here is a detailed description so that if you are considering purchasing it you purchase it for the right reason. This is about 2'X2' on the front, and about 1' deep. It is composed of styrofoam encased in a sealed semi-heavy plastic cover (think plastic as thick as a good ziplock bag with a target on it). It is clearly labeled that it is not intended for bows with greater than 40lb draw. I would add that it is intended for kids arrows with rounded tips. Don't even try regular archery arrows with practice tips. And most definitely don't use broad heads with this.

As far as what you can expect when you shoot. The rounded tip arrows will hit the target where you want, with practice and the use of good sighting. On the youth archery set I use it for I simply us colored headed pins taped above the arrow rest for varying elevations. When a round tip arrow goes into a styrofoam target don't expect it to look like Robin Hood placed the arrows. They will likely deflect some through the media so you will get some varying angles on the arrows that are in the target. Or, you might not. But, I'm just saying don't expect the arrows to react to the target like they would if it were a much more expensive target designed for high bow weight and practice or broadhead points. Rounded points will act less predictably at lower velocity in a styrofoam target.

For life of use I would say you should be able to expect this to last for a few hundred shots. If I remember the price correctly it was something like $20. So from my experience of buying targets for both archery and guns, $20 for a few hundred shots is pretty reasonable.

It's not possible to see in the picture, but this target is intended for bows with a draw of 40 lbs. or less, not an adult bow. It's ok, but basically just a piece of styrofoam with a plastic bag on the outside. If you have a child's bow, this target is perfect. If you're a guy, this probably isn't tough enough for you.

It works great with low draw bows, 35# will nearly go right through it. I use fiberglass arrows for it with round tips, a sharp target point will shoot through. It works great for my 4 year olds Martin.

I bought a McKenzie TuffBlock without reading any reviews about it. Big mistake. It is merely a plastic wrapped block of Styrofoam.

I used mine for about 2-3 weeks before I started getting shoot-throughs. I shoot field tips only, with a 35# recurve bow. Compared with other recurves or compound bows, it's not very powerful.

And yet the McKenzie NOT-VERY-TUFFBLOCK can't handle it.

I would NEVER, EVER buy this product again.

Currently, I'm reading reviews on Buzzillions ([...]) and looking for a new target.

Don't waste your money on this piece of junk.

You have been warned!

It's a good practice target for the money. The foam inside is polystyrene, the kind of stuff used to package a TV. The target is covered with a plastic bag with similar properties as a trash bag. It gets torn up fairly easily, but, I was expecting this. Eventually, I will cover it with a paper target. If you expect better quality, get something with self healing foam and a different covering for $50+ otherwise this is a good bet for the money. So far, it's held up decently for my 25-35# bows.

Great product, works perfect and so far is very durable. My youngest was able to hit the target and have the arrow stick with a short pull, and she was very excited. It even held up when I shot with a bow and a full pull. Very good product.

We love archery. We started our kids with their own bows. But when they would shoot at our target the arrows wouldn't stick into it. So we bought this target for our kids. This one works out perfectly for our kids. They shoot their arrows into it. And they can easily pull them out. All by themselves. It is a nice size, so as they get better and move farther back, it is still easy to see and hit. It is affordable.

This target is made of fluffy white foam and will not work with a bow 40# or over. I was disappointed because it arrived with a large chunk missing, and amazon would not cover enough shipping to return it. Expect a very disposable product.
