I have to disagree with some of the previous reviewers. I felt this book was the best one yet, in fact this series is far superior to the Aisling Grey one. What makes this more than just a fluffy romance is the character development of May. The struggles she wages to discover just who and what she is makes for a compelling story. The character of May develops from the first book in the series (Playing with Fire) of a young women and whose sense of identity was tied to that of her twin. As you read the series you see May blossom from a hollow shadow to a strong, interesting individual. At the end (Me and my Shadow), you find yourself admiring May and wishing there were more in this series so you can follow along in May's head. I hope Katie MacAlister continues this. It was the humour that drew me to Katie MacAlister in the first place, and it, as well as the steamy and interesting love scenes are all still avidly here in this book. I found myself snorting and laughing out loud quite often. The story itself has quite a few cliff hangers actually, which leaves the door open for more dragon series. What is Bastian's future? What is the significance of Kostya's choice of mate? What is the significance of Drake's royal heritage on his family? What is the significance of the gift bestowed on May to her union with Gabriel? And what will happen in the Red and Blue Dragon Septs? And then of course, there is the mysterious mage dragon. I can hardly wait to see what comes next!

Everyone loves a good book yet everyone has their preference in genres. I can definitely say the Katie MacAlisters books are entertaining. I was never into fantasy stories but a coworker brought part of the series to me and said to please give it a try. Storyline is surprisingly good and entertaining to the point I couldn't wait for her to finish so I purchased them myself. Entertaining characters and side characters that often had me laughing. Would definitely recommend.

Really like-able characters and boo-able bad guys make for a light and fun read. I was so sorry to see it finish that I bought the prequel and sequel too.

I really love this author. I have and then have started a lot of her series. Every series of hers that I start, is always great, she writes a great story, and sometimes makes me laugh out loud on top of it. I've been reading her different series and other books for years, and will continue to as long as she's still writing. Well, and even after, since I do start series over again too. I read a lot of books, and then I go back to a former seriew and start again.

I love an author that uses wit and sarcasm effectively. So many attempt, but just fall short. That isn't the case with Katie Macalister. Not only does utilize both wit and sarcasm, she has a wonderful imagination, sense of humor, and a real talent for bringing the characters to life. Her books are a great escape when you need one.

Third in the novels for the Silver Dragons and 7th (out of 10) in the series involving the various dragon septs. I really enjoy these books/series and am glad they are available on Amazon, because I cannot find them at any local bookstores or at the library. I love that these books have fantasy, mystery, romance and suspense all rolled into one!

I started reading her books by chance and find myself ordering as many as I can get! I love the humor, the characters are so well written you feel like you could have a nice chat over a cup of coffee or maybe something a little stronger! The romance is great!

Allgemein mag ich May und Gabriel nicht sooo besonders, ich fand may relativ langweilig im vergleich zu aisling oder ysolde, deswegen war ich nicht so begeistert von den silver dragons.

5.0 out of 5 stars 3rd book in series - greatest read
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 14, 2014
This the 3rd book in the Silver Dragon series and I found this the most gripping, May's life is getting complicated, which means this book has more to keep your interest, sexy dragon lover, bad guy demon boss and a very wild twin sister, and also brings in the other dragon seats.

3.0 out of 5 stars This one is disappointing
Reviewed in Canada on April 11, 2011
This book was funny, but a little annoying. There is way too much nonsense in this one, i.e. May's twin is EVERYWHERE, and whining about everything, and it goes on and on page after page. It takes forever to conclude anything and what was fun in the first 2 books frankly got on my nerves after a while (the way Jim keeps insulting his mistress and keeps being told to shut up, the way May's consort keeps thinking only about sex, not aware of his surroundings at all, as if he's not intelligent - how did he get his position if he's not even cunning one might ask. Well, all in all, I decided not to buy the next book, I even didn't read the teaser.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Continuation BUT
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 20, 2010
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it is good to see a series continue to be a good as the first dew books. And I enjoyed seeing Aisling again.
However I did give it 4 not 5 stars, because it felt a bit like the end of a TV series with the cliff hanger to make you want the next one, and whilst I don't have a problem in theory with that, I felt like I had too many new questions at the end of this, and no answers to the questions already raised.

But overall an excellent book, would reccomend to anyone!
