I loved "Manna", but this is like a high school essay. I'm happy for the author if it gave him meaning, but I was expecting something more thought provoking and substantial after Manna.

Brain is a wonderful thinker and I agree with his basic conclusion--we should try to create a heaven on earth. The conclusion follows from his atheism. The only complaint is I wish he had gone into slightly more detail. A good summary of his work on the topic can be found in the book: The Meaning of Life: Religious, Philosophical, Scientific, and Transhumanist Perspectives by John Messerly.

Although I disagree with his economics the philosophy of his meaning of life brought enough good thoughts into my mind to make this a worthwhile read. I will admit I am willing to give his economics a try.

Perhaps biased because it matches my own philosophy, but just love Brian's works. Direct, concise, short, but spectacularly articulated and logical.

If only he wasn't a writer but a politician, he'd certainly have my vote.
