This is one of the reasons I like Amazon. Finding something like this would be very tough if not for the internet. I had been looking for it in bookstores for some time.

I like this book because of the topic, the short essays addressing it and the diversity of view points.

I like to read an essay or two and spend a few minutes reflecting upon them.

This is a great book and easy to read. All readings in the book attempt to answer the question: Why are we here? Small concise answers from the world's most recongizable people. Lots of pictures as only Life can take. The whole idea? Make you think too.

This book greatly combines the art of photography, philosophy and real life stories. The world's most famous and respected people share their thoughts on the meaning of life; their words of wisdom are dispersed among excellent black and white photographs.

This is a beautiful book. It is everything I hoped for.
Leafing through its pages, which combine often arresting photographs with the very personal views of a wide spectrum of people from the last third of the 20th century, I was reminded how connected we all are, and how different are the paths we choose in search of our answers.
I was disappointed by some, and deeply moved by the insights of others.

I am so happy I have this book. It is a gem; a time capsule of inspiration.

The photos are unique, and when paired with the comments by both the known and unknown, make for a book that will be reflected upon many a time and for many years.
