I have used MANY keyboards over the decades. I'm uncomfortable saying that this is the best keyboard that I have ever used, but the truth of the matter is that it IS the best keyboard I have ever used. This ranges from old beige 80s monsters, to flat Mac keyboards, to weird ergonomic models, to expensive gaming keyboards, to modern mechanical keyboards. This is, I believe, my fifth modern mechanical keyboard. I would say that I have a "keyboard problem", but really... I don't anymore.
I'm so pleased with this thing that I'm tempted to buy ten of them and stick them in the closet in case the company goes under or they discontinue this model. I am NOT kidding.
There are only two CONS, in my opinion:
1) At the point of writing this, they have not yet released the drivers that allow for full customization of the lighting. We are currently stuck with adjustable presets in the firmware. So coming from my Logitech G110, my color customization options feel super primitive. (but the typing experience is massively better than the weird-feeling G110)
2) I miss the macro keys and media controls on my previous two keyboards. (especially on the G110) Feature-wise, this is just a straight up keyboard. No bells and whistles other than the lighting and the FANTASTIC typing experience. It's hard to ding a thing for a feature that it never claimed to have, but I feel compelled to mention that I miss those features.
Other than those two gripes, this is LITERALLY the most I have ever liked any keyboard, dating all the way back to the mid-80s. The typing experience is a joy and the reduced key travel really extends the amount of time I can sit and write (or play games) without my cranky wrists giving me grief.
Note: This is NOT a paid review or one influenced by being bribed with free stuff. I'm just a writer, gamer, and developer that feels compelled to boost awareness of this thing to people that might be on the same keyboard quest as me.
I was debating for some time what to try out next, as I am on a budget and was unsure about the type of mechanical keyboard I was interested in using. Then I spotted this one on a flash sale; some of the reviews likened this to a scissor switch style keyboard than a standard blue switch. So I took the plunge.
Turns out that the reviewers were spot on!
The switches feel so much lighter and the action is very smooth. The keys really do not need as much force as a standard cherry blue, and the actuation is notably lighter. The key presses feel better than they used to on my old K740, which was a scissor switch keyboard. These have a much more precise feeling to them; they don't feel as 'floaty' as scissors or bouncy like membranes. These are much more like cherry blues but a lot lighter.
The keyboard is also very thin, but without feeling flimsy or cheap. The base feels heavy, as if durably constructed of plastic and metal. The overall size is perfect on my VIVO Adjustable Computer Keyboard & Mouse Platform (MOUNT-KB03B), accommodating both this keyboard and an ergonomic mouse pad.
Software wise, this has to be the most customizable board I've ever used. I have a lot of boards, controllers, etc, but I've never been able to customize every key individually, not only in its color and illumination, but with macros and functions. In the keyboard's software I could set any key to do just about anything I could think of. The software itself is very minimalist and straightforward; I had no problem setting things up.
I cannot speak for the durability yet, but you can believe that I will update this at a later time if this thing breaks down and there are issues. If you haven't heard from me again on this, assume the ending here is a happy one, and this keyboard and I are still going strong.

Pros:
- Good build quality.
- Great feel on the keys.
- Full RGB and easy to customise colours via keyboard shortcuts.
Cons:
- RGB LEDs blink on a very fast frequency, so if you move your eyes quickly it feels a bit strange.
- The typography could be better designed. Helvetica is a great typeface but there positioning, size and adjustments could be greatly improved. It also applies for the symbols which some look like 'Yelp' logo.
- The click sound quite pleasant but it may sound too clicky for some people. That's a matter of personal preference
Overall considering the price it's a 5 out of 5!

In fact, this keyboard is so good, I am about to buy another one for my desktop system!

Only 4 months after purchasing it, the "A" key is starting to fail. I removed the keycaps, cleaned underneath, blasted the switches with compressed air, to no avail.
I emailed Havit about a week ago asking how to proceed, but I've received NO RESPONSE.
Buyers beware: this is a lovely keyboard with lovely switches, with (effectively) no warranty service if something fails. That's something we expect of cheap, Chinese brands, but this is a premium-priced keyboard. Not worth the money.
