Hey, I still love the keyboard and want to recommend it to as many people as possible. Everything I said below is still true and I'd purchase it again.
However, I am dinging one star because feels like the battery is giving up on me sooner than expected. Initially, I was using it with lights on most of the time, regardless of day or night (I find it pretty, ok?). After realizing that instead of charging once a week I'm charging the device AT LEAST twice a week makes me judge the efficiency of its lights and battery size.
Also, there is no alert of when the battery is giving up in the middle of an action (gaming? reply? coding?) so you just realize that num lock is off, pull your cable and after a couple of seconds it turns back on. I'd recommend the manufacturer to add a feature similar to the LED that shows the red charging light - it can be used to show a low charge or something so we're not surprised with a keyboard that isn't on.
That's all :)
** end of 2-month update
This keyboard is the only full-size, white keyboard, wireless with backlit available on amazon. And to my surprise, it has a Type-C connector that fits all my other electronics
This keyboard is fantastic! It is very well-build and the red switches feel legit. As someone used to type on membrane keyboards (yet a gamer), I wanted something with a stronger feeling - but nothing ridiculously loud so doesn't disturb the workplace or people around. This one fits my needs perfectly. I still added some clear o-rings to match the rubbery feeling of my previous keyboard
The keys are easy to swap and the white backlit is bright enough for most. I just miss the capacity of selecting the brightness level and saving the battery. Doesn't bother that much if you don't look down while typing.
I am comparing this to the GMMK (glorious modular mechanical keyboard), which costs more than double of this beauty. While the Velocifire does not offer color nor brightness configuration, it compensates by clearing the clutter and swapping the cable for a nano-size dongle. During a test with my eyes closed, I could not tell the difference between these keyboards. The GMMK is, however, a little louder when bottoming the keys
PROs:
- Wireless with no lag!
- Real red switches
- Easy to swap the keys (feel like double-shot injection)
- Backlit is very bright but not annoying
- Pleasant clacking when bottoming the keys
- Non-swappable battery and type-C cable
- Plenty of functions configurable. Might not work with several apps
- Decent battery with lights off.
- Small (nano?) dongle is very discrete and fits perfectly on laptops/docks
- Sturdy rubber feet and heavy keyboard grants stability
- Did I mention the lack of cables?
CONs:
- The lifting lever is very low, so the angle of the keyboard is not perfect for my needs. Could have a second option or riser
- No brightness selection. It's either on/off. Wanted to save battery and still have a slight backlight.
- The battery lasts less than 1 week with the lights on all the time. *I use my PC 12+ hours a day
- The USB dongle has a really thick metal casing, so it feels like I'm hurting my PC when swapping between devices.
*not really a problem if you don't swap often between devices

A comment on noise: This is NOT a silent keyboard. It will make noise. It is just not as loud as a regular mechanical keyboard. At this price-point, I don't think you'll find a silent mechanical keyboard.
Although not critical, the backlight is weak. Because of the weak backlight, not 100% of each symbol on the keys light up. For example the bottom left portion of the "B" key is dim. Additionally there are ONLY two backlight options, on and off.
This keyboard would be a 5-star if the backlight was brighter, and had more than two modes.
Bottom Line: If you are looking for an inexpensive, quiet mechanical keyboard. This one will be satisfactory.
Now that I have a working version, I have to say, I'm very impressed -- for the price point. It is nice and heavy, if that is what you are after, and it feels very much like an old IBM 8088 keyboard or something -- but without the buckling spring. The footprint is perfect (to me). They keyboard is no larger than it has to be to offer you the full 104 key compliment.
One thing to keep in mind here, is that the stand-off from the desk is higher than many of today's keyboards. That is pretty much accurate, however, to how things used to be when mechanical keyboards were the norm.
Another thing to keep in mind is that, while I purchased the brown switches, they do not feel anything like the name brand cherry-brown switches. There is no soft-click. I miss the tactile report of that near-silent soft click letting me know that the key was sent. This keyboard is still pretty loud (no O rings in mine), but not as bad as a buckling spring. There is no audible "snap" with each key strike. Just a mellow, hollow "clunk". I cannot help but wonder what the other switches would have been like. I let this slide, but only because of the favorable price point of the keyboard. Had I spent over $150, it would have gone back.
The keys illuminate. They are essentially back-lit, with bleed-through around the edges of the keys and through the letter or number inscribed on the key. It is white --which is perfect. I couldn't give a fig about silly colors, scintillating rainbows and psychedelic patterns. I wouldn't mind a choice of color -- but again, for the price, it is just fine.
Battery life: I'm 2 days in from initial charge, and things seem just fine. No complaints.
So far, this thing is worth every penny, and seems perfect for the work environment, provided you are not sitting close to someone who would mind the sounds of typing.

UPDATE: I have figured out how to get the wireless function to work - there is a tiny little switch on the bottom of the keyboard, and I just needed to flip the switch from "off" to "on". This wasn't in the manual so I completely overlooked it.
