Editorial Reviews

Review

"I enjoyed the book immensely. Somehow, you've created a work that is, at times,
agonizingly erotic, painfully sad, very mysterious and ALWAYS emblazoned with the
unrivaled passion of your soul". Joshua Ryals
--Reader --This text refers to the Kindle Edition edition.

From the Back Cover

Reading this book, you are peering into a life most of us could never imagine; childhood domestic violence, too much death, and neglect are just a few of the tragedies Angela shares with us.  As you turn the pages you will find yourself submerged in her erotic, sometimes dark poetry, personal musings and photography.  Sexually primitive, soulfully painful and fragile are her renderings as she struggles to find some semblance of 'normal'.  A dichotomy, her pain and suffering leaves her completely broken at times but refusing to succumb, she arises to the challenges of her life through powerful observations and difficult choices.  Her life's tale through a few words, all the damage created from death and strife; sexually provocative yet spiritually awakened through her journey of 'Supple Hell'.

Most everyone who has suffered abuse and loss in their lives ask themselves, why me?  Unfortunately, that question can never be answered.    I use gardening, meditation, photography and of course writing as a few methods for bringing some peace to my soul.  You must keep moving forward.   Our circumstances do not define us, but our actions do.  Angela~

Contrary to what one reviewer mentioned, this book provides readers with the explanation of what the term survivor really means. The photography in Section Three is gorgeous. The colors are outstanding. This is well worth a read on every page.

This book is heart wrenching and powerful at the same time. It is in my top 5 most powerful books I've ever read, and I've read thousands. I am fortunate that I have not even remotely experienced what the writer has. Powerful, smart and the poetry is amazing, though sometimes dark. Angela Mosley shows us how not just to survive an abusive childhood and young adulthood tragic experiences, she shows us that surviving well and making something of yourself is the best way to overcome so much horror.

My jaw dropped several times at what her mother put her through, but you can feel real pain at how she expresses the unbelievable loss of her sister and nephew. I've known a few people to struggle with divorce, or a death in the family...but Angela's life was wrought with terror and loss. Really and truly tragic.

I hope my children grow-up to have half the strength she has displayed in not being a victim of her circumstances, but championing true joy and triumph through so much bad stuff, to lead a solidly great life.

Simply awful!! I'd give it 0 stars if I could. The writing has no flow, but rather jumps around with no forethought, and not in a stream of consciousness way, either. It's a childish, poorly written attempt, to be completely honest. This is not inspirational, erotic, or even interesting. The photography is mediocre, you could find massively better on any of your friends' social media sites.
