man, i am normally a good small size. had many mechanix gloves. this fit is like a size larger then normal. too bad they dont' have xs.

i am considering returning it. i like the idea of fire resistant? not needed for me. and fit really makes me unhappy.

velcro is larger then normal and has good holding power. love that part. impact protection is as good as impact series (like punching a wall motion) but less restrictive then the rubber topped style.

i like the name tag label area also.

man, the only problem is fit. crazy dilema.

i attached 2 pictures. 1 of the nice big velcro patch. and second is a pen pointing to where my fingers end. not normal on all of my other small mechanix gloves.

I have been using these gloves for about 5 years now. I previously worked in the furnace of a steel mill and we were issued these and they worked great. These gloves would be exposed to extreme heats and would be required to handle rugged and sharp material on a regular basis. They never failed in protecting my hands in any situation. I currently use them working as a paramedic. Most officers and medics carry "drunk gloves". These are perfect for that as they more than adequately protect my hands from urine and vomit often covering the homeless of the city. Also, because of the thick leather on the palm and fingers they have been great for checking the pockets of individuals possibly carrying knives or needles. They also have padding on the knuckles which provide extra protection. When used in the right application these are awesome. If you have a larger hand definately go with the large or X large as the fingers on the glove can be kinda short. These are the perfect rugged field glove; however, I would not use them for percise work like mechanical work. Go with a thinner glove for that.
