Animated by her broad/deep understanding and personal experience, Ms. Hebert gives us more than a mere intellectual treatise, yet avoids speculation or reasoning from anecdote.
Reading Meditate and Experience God was an expansive experience. When I finished reading it I bought several more copies to give as gifts !
It covers the major religions--Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, and Buddhism.
I particularly enjoyed chapter 3: "What Saints, Sages, and Mystics Say."
The author's spirituality shines through the book, but it's not preachy or dogmatic.
I loved the book's ending, describing how finding God is the "funeral of all sorrows" (words from Yogananda) and we should "laugh at life." Some readers (some seekers) will find joy and peace in this book.
