I find that she writes very beautifully, and although I wasn't entirely captivated during the reading, I find she does have a good way of informing the reader about the subject of meditation.I am sure she is bound to capture more readers who are in need of help in meditating, and this book is definitely a good starting point for beginning meditators the know very little about the subject.
Just as a side note, although I didn't do many of the exercises, I found that the meditation on "sitting with" your thoughts and remembering them as shakti(energy) really helped me cope with a fear of mine and after maybe 20-30 minutes of doing this I found myself feeling much better and was able to completely make my fear dissapear and go on with my day as if nothing emotionally stressful had happened
to me! I will be sure to keep using this technique when the need arises and maybe do even more of the exercises she outlines in this book.
Sally is very versed and experienced in the "hows" of meditation and conveys that information in a clear and riveting way, but it is her offering of the "whys" that I find so valuable. No, there are no law of attraction ramblings here or promises of unlimited financial or material abundance, just an offering of the real possibility of finally being comfortable in our own skin and situation in life, which is what we are all after anyway, isn't it.

It also explains things like ceremony really well- so it is not only good 'just' for meditation, but clarifies things in all sorts of unexpected areas of spirituality.
