Meditation was something I've always wanted to try but was a little bit nervous about. It always seemed deep in mysticism and I got the impression that it took a long long time to master it and you needed to sit in some funny pose

This book really put my mind at ease. The first sections takes you by the hand and explains to you what it is and how it works. It then goes onto where you can do it and what the benefits are of meditation. I didn't even consider doing it in places such as your car. The benefits of using it are quite surprising.

There are indepth instructions on doing meditation that are very clear and make it easy to do. Meditation seems to be so much about mindset and this book gives you all the techniques on improving it. I'm sure I've got a far better mindset than when I started and from the list of benefits that the book points out, it can only be a good thing.

I suggest you try it.

I haven't practice meditation in a while, and now that a friend of mine is interested to practice it because she heard about the benefits (especially on reducing stress),I have to refresh my understanding and practice of it.

This book covers tips on how to create a meditation haven, how to avoid distraction and interruption while meditating. I like the emphasis on the book that says practicing mediation does not necessarily mean doing it in Buddha pose, nor you have to really find a very isolated place to do it. As the book suggests, you can do it in your home or in your office.

Clear your mind from life's distractions, connect with your inner peace. Get this guidebook.

I really like this book as it explains how to reduce stress very well through meditation. I used to meditate quite regularly last year but have let it go for awhile now and it really is showing for my health. I have always kept my stress levels down by meditating but somehow life gets in the way sometimes. I realize the benefits that I am missing now that could really help me and the author explains everything very well. I especially like the sections on Mindset, Poses and also Understanding Zen. The offer of a free audio is the icing on the cake. I will certainly be looking for other books by this author.

Good info for beginner's and the like. It's short and to the point like her other books but this can be good so as not to over complicate everything as soooo many books do on this subject and many others.

I like how the book breaks the stereotype of meditation. You don't have to be in the "Buddha" pose to meditate, you could lie down, or stand up doing it. I was glad to learn about more advanced methods like Chi and Zen meditation. The book also includes the great bonus of a Guided Meditation audio recording that will help any beginner get started.

Well I am a complete novice when it comes to meditation so I didn't know what to expect with this book. I was really happy with my purchase as this book was clear and strait to the point on the basics of meditation.

I've started with the exercises in the books and have incorporated them into my daily routine. Short enough to read in a day or two.

Good place to start and easy to learn.

As the author of [[ASIN:B0092HOB9I The Ridiculously easy Guide to beginner meditation], I know a thing or two about meditation. Meditation can be very benificial to people, but everyone must start some where. I believe this book can be that first destination on a persons spiritual journey. I'm a big believer in giving proof that something will work to help people. Which is why I really like this book. Here are some things I like about the book:

-Detail on how meditation works

-How meditation can decrease the fight or flight physical response.

-How meditation can increase confidence and mental well-being.

-A great description on Chi and what it is.

This book goes into great detail about meditations effects on the body. Miss Green writes about how meditation increases output of the Parasympathetic nervous system. This body system is where control of the fight or flight adrenaline response can be handled. A positive sense of well-being, and confidence also occurs. Suppression of the Sympathetic nervous system also decreases worry, tension, and anxiety.
There's even a section on Chi in the book. Chi or Ki is the bodies internal energy system. The Chinese healing art of Acupuncture also deals with energy pathways in the body.Although I like this section on Chi, it would have been cool to read about how to increase Chi flow throughout the body. The author does'nt give detail on this aspect. This book definantly has value to people new to meditation. It even has a great bonus for readers. Readers get a link to a guided meditation mp3. Content is king, and bonuses absolutely rock! I even liked the section on the meditation process and how to do it. A lot of authors and teachers overly complicate meditation, but believe me... IT'S NOT THAT DIFFICULT. Buy this book and gain a skill for the rest of your life.

Always wanted to try meditation because i think it's really good for emtoional heath, i was surprised how eloquent and simply written this book is. Showing deep insight into meditation and what i like the most are easy to understand techniques and easy to follow! I felt results of peace, love, being calm and worry free thank you for that and writing this awesome book.
