I bought this album from a store in Bolivia because I'm always a supporter of the band's production. This album is good but not excellent or brilliant, there are 4 or 5 excellent songs:

- Acercate
- Bienvenido
- En tus labios
- Come on
- Señal

I would also list "Ahi donde tu estas" because this one is really a good song, but the problem is that this tune was originally created for a TV advertisement/commercial of a bolivian beer, and this is not accepted in general terms. Is something really humiliating that a rock song can be used as a commercial... and worst about beer... I like beer and I drink it, but promoting it is another very different thing, specially in a country like Bolivia where young people drinks liters and liters of beer since school.

Talking again about this new Octavia CD I can say that in general the new work it's "fine", but I was expecting a higher point in the groups history with less predictive songs and more rock sound, mainly because one of the producers of the band, Richard Coleman, it's a composer of songs which have the guitar 'riffs' upfront with much more distortion ('grunge' sound) and more energy, but this can be appreciated only in a couple of songs of this CD.

I was also expecting less predictable pop songs with more worked lyrics. The first cut of the CD "Viaje" it has very poor lyrics, composed by some school boy maybe... In general the voices sound more pop and the songs sound a bit too repetitive compared with the previous CDs.

After a long career -20 years of music- from Octavia maybe it's difficult to surprise the audience (or suprise the group itself) like U2 who has recently produced a new record with only 3 or 4 not too predictive or repetitive good songs...

Finally we have access to their latest album. Octavia is by far the best rock band in Bolivia. You will not be dissapointed, and don't forget to listed their previous albums. I recommend "Talisman", their first production in both, english and spanish.
I found their sound very similar to Collective Soul, but with a fresh south american flavor.Talisman

I liked this album, although they have better ones like Talisman. If you like Spanish rock music give this album a try.
