The Medusa Touch features some pretty good special effects for its time as Morlar's disasters grow in scale and magnitude. There is a horrific plane crash scene into a large apartment building eerily similar to 9-11, and a royal assassination attempt by demolishing a major London landmark. It is a race against time for Brunel to stop Morlar in his diabolical quest.
Briskly directed by Jack Gold, The Medusa Touch is pure entertainment throughout and plays like a cross between The Omen, Carrie and a police detective who dunnit.
Fans of this film should check out the Blu-ray which looks great - clean and crisp! It's an excellent transfer with some interesting behind the scenes footage of the film's climax in Westminster and commentary.
A solid film that still holds up.
