I really liked this debut; the solid plot, the characters and the family. For Virginia, her family is the root of all evil in her world. It seemed like I was wanting to know more and the bits of the past were given out in little crumbs. I always appreciate a long book and this had some meat to it. When Virginia leaves the city for her small town it is under the premise to help her family business. Structure wise there was a little edit needed for this. It seemed like she had plans but nobody knew what they were. All this poor girl got was opposition from all angles. She left her ex live in boyfriend Eli behind. There is a history there but it isnt too clear until about 70% but Eli was mediocre in the bedroom. Why was she with him? I dont know. So no spoilers but I never found out why she was with him. Ten years is a long time for that.

In an all to familiar scenario, meeting Eli cause he is a contractor, now planning the family Bar Costello's expansion, she meets Boone.

For the character of Boone, he was just right. I enjoyed his dialogue and even though he was younger, he had excellent communication skills. I dont know many men at 24 years old that would handle their business, working and their personal life the way he did.

Virginia's Mom Sophia, her brothers Tony and Jimmy were all equally lacking in the communication department. All combined were the reason for Virginia to pop xanax and drink way too much Jack Daniels. I myself never have and yet while reading I longed to see what her fascination was with the amber colored liquor. No I never found out either.

Things were left off in a sort of cliffhanger, which I am not a fan of. Book 2 better come soon. If not for those kindle readers search the book for Boone scenes they are some of the juiciest I have read. Enjoy

I was gifted an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Having read "Lavender Girl" by the same author I thought I knew what to expect but I had it all wrong and Angela has me looking for a bottle of Jack Daniels and Moonshine.

Virginia is the rose between the thorns in her family aka she's the with 2 brothers , she grew up in a small town , Coffee Lake Virginia. She couldn't wait to leave for the bright city lights.....After a rather disastrous break up and some bad decisions Virginia takes a time out and heads home which I'm a little nervous about as their mother/daughter relationship is a little strained to say the least .
Anyhow all that is about to move down south with the appearance of Boone!

Now look Virginia is no fading wallflower and when she sets her mind to something she gets it done . Her sadly didn't have a man cave but he did have a man bar ;) " Costellos" , a place where he could hang with the boys, play cards ,have a beer and catch fish. So when he passes on ,one of sons take over and as daughter and sister Virginia wants to upgrade yet preserve his memory and after a few hurdles and a bit of drama renovations are underway and naturally ourour an Boone is on the team.

Damn Boone is enough to turn even Mother Theresa into a howling, purring cougar!
Virginia is a Jack Daniels , sex loving, dog loving ,rough around the edges Southern belle. She is also brave, determined, strong willed and yet vulnerable and I like her!
Having said that there were occasions where I had the urge to kick her curvaceous ass especially here towards the end but as I know my man Boone he won't give up without a fight so I've packed my bags and I'm heading to "Georgia Girl"

Thank you again Angela for a ★★★★★ read ! Sending much love from South Africa

Angela March gives us an awesome debut novel with Meet Virginia. This is a book about relationships, not just romantic, but struggling to mend the pieces of a broken family. I absolutely loved Virginia and Boone and totally rooted for them!! I highly recommend this book!!

It's always hard to confront the past, and more so when your family and childhood memories are what need the confrontation. Angela March did an awesome awesome job on this, her debut Novel. I love the strong willed, independent, and sharp tongued main character Virginia. She stands her ground, no matter the repercussions, and speaks verbatim to her thoughts. A trip back home, a plan to mend, a project, and a gorgeous young buck to light up her darkness are her plans for a whole summer back in her home town. I was completely taken by this story, Loved every bit and could not wait to click for book 2!!! Awesome Read, and highly recommended!!!! ☆☆☆☆☆☆

"Thank you so much for being such a kind soul, Boone, you’ll never know how much I appreciate you, you have been the best thing to come out of this trip.” “I will always be here for you Virginia; you have dug a special place in my heart and soul . I never thought I could care for a woman like that again, like I said before I have never met a woman like you before and I’m glad I did."

I was graciously given a copy by the author for an honest review, and I am glad she did. I loved this book. Before I start let me just say that I absolutely loved Boone. He was one of the most down to earth male characters I have ever read. He is simple (not a bad thing in my eyes), charming, sweet, funny and most of all down right Sexy! If I could meet a guy like him in real life, I would snatch him up and not let go. Ok, now that I got him, I mean that off my chest, I will start my review. This story was different and that made it interesting. I love the fact that Virginia was older then most females I read about. She is beautiful, smart, intelligent and feisty. She had a good head on her shoulders and knows what she wanted out of life until going home to Virginia and meeting Boone. While trying to reconnect to a family that has always made her feel like an outsider, Boone shows her just how much she is worth and how nobody should make her feel less than she is. But being home doesn't always go to plan, if ever. Things start heating up between her mom and brothers. She is on emotional rollercoaster with her family and The one person that keeps her grounded is none other than the Sexy Boone. Boone had me swooning the more I got into the book. He would do things for and to Virginia that nobody has ever done with or to her.
