This is a safe, fun, durable, and easy to store -- Boy Toy!
We have 3 young boys ( and more some times) that really loved to play in their Castle "Fort". I think it has good educational value learning to put together the inter locking connections, in a variety of configurations... however, they did need some help putting the top on because of their height.
This is a tough, and can be knocked down torn apart and take a beating... I would like to add on... and may have to purchase another "set" because I cant find just the blocks..??
good toy.

I was concerned that this would not be too sturdy, since I have three kids three and under and my oldest is quite rambunctious, but it holds up great to their abuse. The door is a durable fabric panel (I was worried it would be paper and be destroyed quickly) and the shield doubles as a coat of arms over the door. It can be set up a number of different ways and you can use regular Mega Bloks to add on to it. We used ours to separate a corner of the living room as a designated play area and the kids just love it, even the baby crawls in and out of the castle dragging toys along with him. Considering how beloved it is among all my kids, it was definately worth the price. Oh, and I think the company behind the product is important, too. One of our pieces came bent and we have had no problem getting it replaced. I highly recommend this very fun castle!

After reading Amazon.com reviews - all positive...Santa got this for our 4 1/2 year old boy. He was thrilled since Santa put it together in our living room for him! He is now 5 1/2 and still plays with it often. It stays put together in his room for a week or so and then we take it down for a time until a friend comes over or dad plays (we have a 2 month old who is not ready to play castle yet!).

This toy is sturdy and easy to put together. It can be built many different ways so he is never "wrong" like with some building toys. He uses this castle as a fort with a blanket over the top and it still remains standing. His friends have knocked it over with him and "smashed" it down and it's still in great condition. Even the "cloth" door has stood the test of time! Santa got it on sale for 39.99!

We used the castle for a Flying Monkey Toss into the Witch's Castle at my son's Wizard of Oz birthday party (I made rice filled felt monkeys and the kids "flew" them into the castle windows and over the top).

One note:

If you have a tiny house or apartment, keep in mind the size both built and while in storage...there is no good way to store the large pieces unless you use a crate or box and have a good amount of room (our son's bedroom is 12x18, so it's not a problem for us!).

Highly recommend this toy for years of fun (even outdoors on nice days!).

awesome!!awesome!!awseome!! is all I can say. My boys are now 7 and 4, and THRILLED when it's time to play with this. We have it in our basement, then can take it apart- in about 1 minute-carry it upstairs, or go out in the yard with it. I honestly can say, they spend hours a day, doing healthy "imagination time", not to mention the physical activity, they exert, while "protecting their Kingdom". Best money I have EVER spent, well worth it and SOOOOOOOO easy to assemle. It's like putting Lego's together..Cleans well with a damp cloth and stores easily (if they ever let you take it down) SPEND THE MONEY- THE SMILES ALONE ARE A HUGE PAYBACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Adventure Castle is a big hit in our home. We started with one set and then bought another so that we could build bigger castles. My son is 4 years old and has no trouble using the "blocks" or locking them. When not in use, we "store" it around his bed, (headboard and along the wall side of his bed). It's never fallen down on him and it looks like he's sleeping in a castle. I would recommend this toy to anyone. It is sturdy, durable and fun. There is no "wrong" way of putting it together so kids can get creative with it.

We actually bought a lot of 5 packages of these so we could do some serious building and overall they are great. However, the picture on our boxes did not really show that the door is a piece of cheap fabric, not part of the block system. The blocks are pretty durable. I have a 3 year old and a 7 year old and they love them. I'd say to be able to build and have them lock together for stability the child has to be around 6 or 7. My 3 year old can stack them but not Lock them into one another to make a lasting wall. I would also say that you need a couple of boxes to make something. 1 box does not go that far, especially if you have more than 1 child. With all that in mind, I think they are a great toy, great for the imagination, and you can do lots of different things with them, kind of like legos. I got my sets for a great discount and don't know if I think they would be worth the 79.99 tag that they were at the time. I also really think you need more than 1 set to build anything bigger than a wall and corner. They are well made, but I would not say they are indestructable like some of the Little Tikes plastic structures we've had. They can be smushed a bit if you walk on the flat sides of them like my kids did making a pathway of stepping stones out of them on the floor.
