The Wash and Wax soap solution makes a nice sudsy wash that easily washes away light to moderate filth with the nice, included hand mitt. If you have stubborn stains from tar or asphalt, you'll have to soak them a few times and scrape at them lightly with your fingernail or something a little coarser than the hand mitt, but that's the case with even the most expensive soaps I've tried. I was particularly impressed with how well water beads up when you rinse it, even before any specialized wax has been applied. This is a very high quality wash solution for the money.
The microfiber towel dries effectively and minimizes water-spots, even if you're using hard water from a garden hose (as most people will).
The wax goes on easily with one of the two included round foam applicators. It's a very thin wax, a little thinner than the consistency of toothpaste, and it wipes on easily. You don't have to use much elbow grease (assuming you wash the vehicle thoroughly first), which is nice because I've found other, more aggressive waxes to be truly exhausting to apply. In this case, just wipe it over the entire car using light overlapping circular strokes, wait about 10-15 minutes until it dries to a light haze, then wipe it off with the included microfiber towel. (There are two microfiber towels included in this kit. The larger/coarser one is for drying; the finer one is for wiping off the wax.) Wiping off the hazy wax was surprisingly easy, not difficult to remove like some other waxes I've tried. And the wax brings out the car's color nicely. I was impressed.
The tire gel applies with the other round foam applicator. (There are two round applicators included. Be sure to mark them so as not to confuse them. Use one exclusively for waxing and the other for applying the tire gel.) In the past, I've always used spray-on products for dressing the tires, but I like this gel. As long as your tires are clean, it wipes on easily and makes the rubber look rich black, and it has a slightly nicer gloss to it than many spray-on products. Spray-on products are slightly easier/quicker to apply, but not enough to matter. It only takes about 30 seconds per tire, and I like that you can wipe on the gel without getting any on the rims (which is particularly nice if you clean your rims first, as I did).
All in all, I was impressed with this little kit. I picked mine up on sale for $20, but it would still be a good deal if it were $30. It gave comparable results to products I've bought in the past that cost more than twice as much. The only downside of this kit is that the volume/quantity of each item could be greater, and there is no window cleaner. There should be enough wash solution for at least five washes, and the tire gel will dress the tires at least four times if you use it conservatively. But the wax will only be enough for up to two waxes. Don't expect this kit to last more than a couple of months if you wash your car weekly and wax it monthly. If you only use it every few months to replace occasional trips to the car wash, then it will last longer. Also, it's the perfect size if you're just looking for a one- or two-use kit to spruce up your car to sell it. For the price, it's a very fair deal and a great all-in-one kit. It's also a great "trial size" to decide if you want to commit to buying larger quantities of the Meguiar products (I probably will!)
i was my vehicle at around 65-75 degrees ambient temp under the sun
it has the 3 steps of what to do in the back just make sure when you wax do not use to much compound
for the price of under 22 dollars it gets the job done
product comes with
*wash and wax - its just car soap my opinion
*wash mitt - absorbs the soap real well and the fabric is soft which doesn't fell like it will scratch your car
*microfiber drying towel - i rinse it out a couple times because i wanted my vehicle to be super dry before i use the wax
*liquid wax - do not use during hot sunny days unless your vehicle is under shade
*2 applicator pad- for using the wax and rims on the vehicle MY OPINION JUST USE THE ON THE CAR NOT THE RIMS
*microfiber towel- for after the wax is applied
i recommend purchasing scratch x too with a micro fiber towel for any paint scuff or over spray on your vehicle
WILL NOT REMOVE SCRATCHES DEEP ONES OF COARSE
i used this after i wash my car and before i wax my car
