Cons:
~ You get what you pay for here. The way it attaches the ef lens feels really tight and cheap. I almost worry I am damaging the lens or the camera or both, not how I want to feel with dealing with $$$ camera/lens. Not smooth by a long shot.
~The biggest issue for me was that it constantly was hunting for focus on auto focus, I could see this being a real issue that could potential burn out the motor in a lens. My main uses with this adapter would be walking around with my family on Vacation, and capturing those quick moments of my kids being kids/vacation highlights. While yes I could turn the camera off &on ( I do to not drain the battery), any short period of time lets say a parade at Disney world where I wanted my camera on and was shooting over a short span of time, the camera would be hunting for focus the entire time in between pressing the shutter button and taking a shot. That is a long time for that motor in the lens to just be spinning back and forth hunting for focus. This was 100% the deal breaker for me. I tried all different focus methods in camera, turned off the AF eye and face just went with a single point/spot focus....didn't change even if the camera was stationary. Switching to manual on the lens was the only method I had to correct the constant hunt for focus.
~ I also noticed it didn't work with my Sigma Art 35mm and there was serious vignetting, like a bad insta filter. Knowing it won't work with every lens is disappointing. Especially my 35mm.
Pros
~Price
~Manual shooting/landscapes. If you are a landscape photographer that shoots manual lenses, or just in manual this could still work for you. Also if you are someone that just sets up and takes one shot then turns your camera off maybe this could work since the savings is so huge compare to the canon adapter.
In the end for me this didn't fit what/how I shoot so its going back, would have been awesome to to save some $$ but in the end you are getting what you pay for here. Hope you find this review helpful.
