Wish they had one that forced you to add or subtract.
Only problem with this product is the quality of the letters. The coloring peals off very easy and they came with already frayed edges. It has only been a couple of weeks and they are not holding up well.
I didn’t even think to look at the reviews because I’ve always trusted their products. But once I noticed the extra board I read the reviews. Seems there are multiple problems with this puzzle, ie; wrong words for picture, duplicate boards, not enough letters, and letters not fitting.
I have bought several dozen Melissa and Doug toys and have never had a problem with any of them until now. Unfortunately, this kind of error is not uncommon for this item.
My 3 1/2 year old granddaughter loves this educational toy. I could have bought it a year ago , and it would have been appropriate. I don’t know why they rated it for 4+ year olds.
I agree with others that the “storage box” is poorly designed. Without a top, the box is nearly useless. For most children this would pose a major problem! Thank goodness I have taught my granddaughter to replace items in their assigned spaces , and she does so at least 75^ of the time. You will need to buy a storage box for most children to keep these organized.
