Our kids (2, 4) love these!! The images are cute with vibrant colors, and the paper is a little thicker than other brands we've tried. I remove the pages from the book & tape the corners down to a piece of hardboard with removable double-sided tape. They use the water brushes from the Melissa & Doug Water Wow books, which put out the perfect amount of water & eliminate the need for a cup of water that could be knocked over. To switch to a different color, they just dab the brush onto a folded napkin to clean it off.

My daughter is almost two and loves to paint. This book is confusing because of all the color (designs) it has on it already and all the colors fuse together and become brown and ugly if you don't paint exactly within each section of color. This is not what I was hoping for, I thought the pages were going to be blank and the color would appear, but there are tiny ink designs that are the color. It is overstimulating to the eye and not ideal for a beginner.

Great Paint-with-water book!

These pages are pre-printed with the watercolor paint so all you need is water to paint! The paint is printed in halftones and the image lines so there is no palette your child has to go back and forth from. Your child can Just dip his brush in water and then start painting the image! Kids can even dip their finger in water and paint with their finger! Easy to pack for traveling as it comes with a brush. Clean up is easy since all you need is a cup of water, and a little soap if your child decides to ‘finger-paint’. This brand is the best I’ve found of these ‘pre-printed paint’ books as there is plenty of color printed on each page. My 17month old grandson delighted to see the paint get brighter and fill in the page!

Paper very thin. Amd color stains kids hands for a few days even though I washed as she went and immediately scrubbed after. Lemon juice. Helped but she was still a mini hulk (green hands) better for older kids 6+ that won't push on the thin wet paintbrush so much. My daughter made holes in her paper snes 2yrs old kept painting same area . I also put something under as it will leak and stain ur highchair table top.

Upon opening the package I liked the graphics and it seemed well made. I took it out of the cardboard and envelope , by the next morning the edges on 3 sides were curled up!
I bought this for my 3 year old grand daughter. She did enjoy it, but had to make the brush really wet to get the colors to show.
I don't think I have written 1 bad review on Amazon , and I have purchased many things. This item did not meet up to my expectations for a Melissa & Doug product!
I would look for something else if you are searching for a toddler's paint book.

My son is only one years old but he loves the paint with water. I specifically like this one because he doesn't have to take the color from somewhere else and put it on the picture. All he does is put the water on the picture and the color dots spread out among the picture creating the perfect color. At times my son will just dump the cup of water out on the paper and then use his hands to swipe the color across the paper and he things it is very fun.

I'll preface by saying I love Melissa & Doug but this one fails to hit the mark. It's geared towards little kids but it is by no means easy to clean and the colors stain your kids hands. I had to sit there and scrub with soap for quite a while so if you're going to do this project make sure you don't do it in nice clothes or on a nice table (kind of goes without saying with the kids crafts but usually water colors are easier to clean than this).
