This would be a 5 star review if Water Wow wasn’t marketed as an “on the go” product. The main problem for traveling is this: you have to empty the brush of water before you put it back in its case. It says this in the directions. That means unless you have some sort of a sink on hand where you are, you can’t use this in a car or etc. There are portable professional brushes that this brush mimics. These hold water even when you aren’t using them, and if you take one of these brushes with you instead of the poor one you’re provided, the pad is portable again. If you try to travel without emptying this provided brush, the water gets everywhere and warps the boards. Even if you don’t travel with it though, the brush leaks like crazy and will warp the boards in no time unless you wipe a board dry after painting it.

If they had just put a bit more care into their brush, this product would be as functional as it is marketed to be. But since the brush leaks, there’s no point in it even holding water at all. At that point it would have been a better product that uses
less water in the long run if they had put a normal kids craft brush in with a small drip bottle to drop water on to the canvas, which the user then spreads around with the brush.
What you get in this one product without buying a better brush is adequate, but unless you take the trouble to buy an actual portable water brush, this product isn’t “on the go” in the slightest.

I bought this Melissa and Doug product for my 14 month old to use when he is getting a little fussy and needs to calm down or when I need to keep him busy for a short while. It works great for those purposes! We bought the Animal version of Water Wow for him.There are four reusable pictures. The first page is a farm with a cow, sheep, pigs, an apple tree, etc.. The second page involves underwater creatures like fish, jellyfish, and other marine life. The third page is a pet shop, and the fourth is a jungle with a monkey and other creatures. The best thing about this coloring book is that it becomes colorful when water hits it and when it dries it becomes white again so that you can reuse it over and over again. It is mess free so a young child can play with it while traveling or sitting in a church pew. I have already added several other Water Wow products to my son's wish list so hopefully he will have a few more at Christmas. I definitely recommend this product. Kids ages 1-5 will probably really enjoy it!

I love the fact that it is mess free and great for traveling. One of the cons is that the pen holder is not very sturdy and the pen tends to fall out when put in a bag. But, that's a minor inconvenience.
We have loved it so much that I have ordered 3 other water wow books.

The product description says this is for ages 3 and up but my 2 year old loves it. He enjoys it when things that were not visible on the page appear when he paints. One of the games we play while he paints is 'Can you find... the cloud/the egg/fish..'. I purchased this for my 18 month old son as one of many things to keep him entertained on a flight. Quality was great, just what you'd expect from a Melissa & Doug product. This thing is great for when you are on the go, it does not take up much space at all. Recommended age is 3 and up, my son is half that age and was able to hold the paint brush to paint just fine. I didn't even notice that it was reusable until the flight back when I saw all of the colors on the pages had gone white again. The paintbrush did leak water everywhere so don't make the same mistake I did and put it away when there's still water inside. Overall I would recommend, we will probably purchase other ones as he gets a little older.

Okay, this colouring book is so much fun! The pages have hidden animals that only show up once you colour that part of the page. My niece was delighted with it and spent a long time completely engrossed. She would colour one page and move on to the next, and by the time she was done the first page would be ready to be painted again. Tip: Once you fill the pen with water, lightly press the blue tip until the water trickles down into the brush. The colours won't show until the brush is all wet. Make sure you're supervising closely. My niece started to apply pretend-makeup on her face with that brush before we saw it and took it away.
