Two-Story Barn Comes Fully Assembled
Young future farmers will enjoy 'down on the farm' fun with this wooden barn. Fully assembled so children can just fold it open and start playing, the two-story barn is stocked with seven realistic plastic farm animals (a horse, cow, pig, sheep, goat, dog, and turkey), a wooden ladder, and a folding corral. Chunky, sturdy handles let kids take this 'little bit of country' wherever they go. This beautifully detailed, built-to-last wooden barn comes with sliding doors to let the animals come in and out, and the folding corral can be moved around and adjusted to any number of shapes. Inside the barn, each animal can get cozy in its own separate stall until it’s time to play again. Children can make the animal sounds for each of their farm creatures, work on counting by adding up the windows (or sections of corral, or animals), and study shapes by manipulating the corral into a triangle, square, or pentagon. Great for imaginative play, storytelling, and fine motor skills.

What I don't like about this barn are the animals. I thought my set was a fluke mistake, and ordered another set from Amazon to replace the originals. The replacement set was just as bad as the first set. The animals are not all one piece. Their heads are separate from their bodies and have been glued on. You can see the line where the heads have been glued on, and in several cases, the extra line of glue around their necks. It's disturbing to say the least, and NOT what I'd expect from Melissa and Doug. In addition, not all of the animals stand up on their own, and the sheep dog is quite unrealistically and garishly painted.
If you like the barn, great, but keep in mind you'll need to purchase replacement animals. I've started that process and I'm having a hard time finding the right size to fit the stalls. If my little girl hadn't fallen in love with this barn when it came in, it would have gone right back.
