Purchased this as a gift for toddler girl (2 years old) and my boys (3.5 & 5 yrs) ended up playing with more! When not pulling each other on the Trunki, the kids got a chance to take books and toys to play with inside it. This was showcased as both of our families were traveling together through the airports of Atlanta and the Bahamas and this Trunki proved to be a big hit with the 3 toddlers and got many oohs and ahhs by fellow travelers with comments like "that's so cute" and "what a great idea" and "I wish I had that when I was little!"

Positives:
*It's a toy - served as a riding toy that can be pulled by the strap
*It's a personal toddler luggage to carry & organize toys, books, blanket, clothes & other goodies
*Durable and secured in keeping items inside
*Cute! Different color design options (red ladybug, etc...)
*Attached Strap converts into a personal tote bag of sorts for toddler
*Stickers allow toddler owner to personalize
*Carry-On size: since your toddler will get to have a carry on

Negatives:
*Price? Worth it!

Makes an great gift for toddlers - especially those who travel for the very first time or frequent flyers.

My toddler loves his suitcase. He loves to sit on it and push himself around, he loves to have me pull him around on it, and he loves to have me open it up so he can pack his toys in it.
The last trip we took he was so sad not to have his own suitcase to carry around that he insisted on trying to carry my purse as his suitcase. It didn't quite work... The next trip he will have his suitcase, and he is so happy!
It's a good size for a small child, and the fact that he can sit on it is a big bonus.
It has gotten hours of abuse at home and stood up just fine -- no problem with wheels, straps, or anything opening at the wrong time. He's not exactly gentle with it either, and has backed into the wall more times than I can count. No visible damage to the suitcase.
Edited to add: We've now taken it on three round trip airplane adventures, with huge success. It fits under the seat or in the overhead compartment with no problems. We used it instead of bringing either the stroller or the car seat all the way in, and it was totally fine. He knows to hold on to the ears or the strap when riding, and loves pulling it himself.
The only downside I can think of (and it's not really a downside) is that it attracts a lot of attention! We get stopped by people asking us where we got the suitcase, how we like it, or just to tell us how cute it is. Makes us the total center of attention -- so it is not for the shy!

Spent an extra $26 for the package (saddle bag and sticker set) and item arrived without the additional items. But at least I found this out at 5 am on Christmas day as I was trying to set it up. Don't buy the set.

We travel alot internationally and our son is too big to be carried and too small to walk across large airports so we bought this thinking he could ride along. While this is exceptionally cute and he adores it it's not practical for any real travel other than maybe a trip to grandmas overnight. The "locking" mechanism is too difficult for kids to work so you constantly have to open and close it for them (this is also a pain at customs trying to get through the line and watch your child)The first time we used it the wheel popped off causing my son to be thrown across a hard marble airport floor. We put it back on and that worked for a bit but constantly kept falling off. All wheels eventually broke on the first trip with it. Very fun but not durable and for the price buy something else.

My grandson loves it. Once mommy got the hang of the locking mechanism it has worked flawlessly! I bought the extra stickers and let him do whatever he wanted with them. The suitcase had "whiskers on his butt!"

Purchased this product for our grandson, who was 2 years old. He loved it! Used at home, he fills and unfills the Trunki with his toys and stuffed animals. His parents usually take a plane vacation 1-2 times a year and the Trunki is great for the airport, carry-on luggage, and storage of his toys for amusement on the plane. I would suggest purchasing the entire set of the Trunki Ride On, with decals and saddle bags. Less expensive that way. I don't regret this purchase and I am planning to purchase another one for his little brother in the future. Amazon service is fantastic!

2013 review: I bought this for my son's 3rd bday because we were planning a trip from HI to NC to visit his Abuelos. Needless to say it was/is the best travel luggage set I could have bought him. It held up pulling him, his books, change of clothes, and cars through each airport on our travels (my son weighs 38 pounds and the luggage was packed to 10 pounds). Everywhere we went he was anxious to sit and ride it (he has a tendency to run off causing us to chase him but not with trunki); we received many compliments on trunki and also saw a few other kids traveling with their trunki characters. Since our travels are over for now we use trunki to store his chuggington trains and tracks. I will purchasing another one of these for my second son's 3rd bday next year for sure!

2014 review: yes, this trunki is still going strong and has lasted through my now 4 yr old and has ended up being my now 3 yr old sons pet suitcase. We still get compliments everywhere we go and my 3 yr old who weighs 35lbs can ride trunki with no strains on the wheels or case itself...even after being filled with two days worth of clothes for both my boys (keep in mind we are from Hawaii so the clothes are shorts, shirts, socks, towels and swim trunks, two hard cover books, 5 hot wheel cars, 2 HTTYD motion toys, and 3 thick coloring books and crayons. Oh! And two travel size umbrellas and two sets of sneakers. I am hoping trunki lasts through our third (planning stages) baby.
