You can taste the paper flavor in your coffee

The primary problem with these is that the natural brown means that these will transfer some paper flavor to your coffee. If you flavor your coffee with additives, then this probably will be covered up, but if you're a black coffee drinker, you're going to catch that paper taste too much. I didn't enjoy that. Otherwise, these were actually a good price when compared to the smaller packages in-store locally. YMMV.

the coffee filters are great. I love them. first two orders of one box each were fine, included with other items in the same shipping box.

my problem is Amazon shipping paper products within paper envelopes- first set of 2 boxes I ordered arrived soaking wet, packaging and the product box. of course I'm not using them... I filed for a return based on damage to both the packaging and product and asked for a reshipment. THEY DID IT AGAIN. package arrived feeling damp -and- crushed this time.

so I'm also returning the reshipment of what should be great coffee filters. perhaps the trick is to order them with other stuff?

Don't hold up!

These coffee filters do not always hold up to boiling water. Numerous times I have had them fall apart while pouring the water. The coffee grounds then pour into the coffee mug and the cup of coffee is ruined. I would not purchase them again.

These tear at the bottom every so often. Ive had 3 tear in a row one time. I try my hardest to Not disturb the bottom crease but one will fail out of every 10. It's the worst when you hand grind nice beans to just have the bottom fall out and your grounds fall into your cup.

I have used these filters for years and never once had a problem. My store (TOPS) stopped selling these for some reason, so I'll be ordering them from Amazon. TOPS has changed everything over to their brand, and I'm not too pleased with that but what are you going to do. I like their prices, so I'm stuck. I'll just use Amazon more for things they have stopped selling. Amazon's WIN!!!

Perfect for pourover filter

The #2 is the perfect size for a single cup pourover. It is compostable per the Melitta website. Dealing with the used grounds without using a paper filter is messy work. I compost the filter and grounds so clean up is quick. The coffee steeps a little slower with both the paper filter with the steel filter but totalyy worth it for the easy clean up.

I used to use these, but later I began to use a metal filter to decrease my paper consumption. I really resisted for a long time not to use paper ones again but, I had to turn back to these again because of the taste. Interestingly, I love the taste of coffee which I made with these coffee filters. Forgive me, mother nature.

Someone said that their boxes only had 40 filters -- mine were 100s.

This size filter is getting difficult to source in Australia, so it was good to get it here. If you have the plastic cone for single cup coffee making then this is the filter that you need.

It's a filter -- you put the plastic cone on the cup, you put the filter into the cone, you put ground coffee into the filter paper, you pour boiling water over the coffee, and you have filter coffee in your cup. It isn't as nice as espresso, but it tastes a whole lot better than instant. And if you are somewhere with boiling water on tap it gives a decent cuppa with only a little more effort than instant.
